This, like every other holy stone I've owned, is a great little drone. It is kind of like a mini version of the flagship 720 but with brushed motors. I was surprised that at this price point that the drone didn't have brushless but that's okay, the case and 2 batteries easily make up for that. The hard case is similar to the 510 case and looks very very nice. The drone only has 2 speeds but again that's okay because it is rather quick and did well in a slight wind. I wouldn't recommend flying in anything over 15mph with this drone unless you are flying low for fun. The camera is what it says it is, takes nice stills but the video quality could be a little better but overall it's decent for it's low cost. Return to home only has a 60ft setting so make sure your area trees are lower than60ft. I love that the controller has a button for calibration, easier to remember for those of us with multiple drones. Overall I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. P.S. I love how the props are at different levels, the back being lower and the lights on this drone are great for night flying!!

I bought the drone recently. I was testing it and it was easy to handle although the quality of the image in videos and photos is not very good. I used the app on a Huawei P30 lite cell phone which does not have 5 GHz Wi-Fi so I had to put the transmission of photos and video at 2.4 GHz. I find that the video and photo quality is poor because of the use that frequency band. The "follow me" option also didn't work for me because when using the Wi-Fi network created by the drone, the cell phone is disconnected from the LTE and internet is needed for the GPS. The drone also doesn't recognize the new 64GB microSD card I bought from it. In the app it does not appear that you have a memory card inserted. How can these situations be resolved?

This was an awful experience. Bought as a gift but the app is garbage. The app fails nearly every time you try to calibrate the drone. Takes multiple attempts to calibrate - we tried for nearly 25 minutes to get it to work.. Then when you finally get it calibrating and start flying, it’s just okay. Nothing great about wind resistance, the “return home” function is trash and made the drone crash into the ground. Camera is not 2k. No way it is. Value just isn’t there. Find another company. Their app is the main issue.

Holy Stone HS175 is a fun little drone not only for youngsters but for the seasoned old guys like me.. My grandson picked it right up and was in the air 5 minutes after charging the batteries and controllers.. Cameras ok if not a lot of wind and controlling it is a breeze (fun intended) if you've had any experience with flying drones at all, and if not it's really easy to learn.. Now this isn't a DJI drone, so expectations shouldn't be at maximum.. This is a $150 drone with decent capabilities.. This isn't the only HS drone I've bought, I started out with the HS161 and also the HS720E, all for my grandsons to enjoy flying with grandpa and his AIR 2.. Everyone has to start somewhere, and I have 5 grandsons, so there's more HS products for us in the near future. Last note, Holy Stone's customer service is like no other company I've dealt with, 5 starts across the board with product warranty and support..

Fun drone for beginners or people looking to get into the hobby. The remote is pretty basic and at times I can't seem to get it to pair correctly with the aircraft or unlock the props, even after following step by step instructions. The free app to be used with smartphone can be found on google play for download and is ok but the video/picture seems to freeze up sometimes while in flight. Overall this is a good entry level drone with some really nice additions like the more expensive ones have, i.e waypoint navigation, hands free return to home, pitch/roll correction.

This is my second drone, my first one is HS140. HS175 is really better than HS140. My son (8 years old) and I play it together to have fun. Five-star features: Light, dedicated design, foldable. GPS auto return. Beginner model for safe flying Circle flying, route setting, and follow me mode for fun Two batteries ( each one, 1h 30 min charging for about 20 min flying without propeller guard) Control (1 h for a full charge, without buying extra batteries) The case for easy package Indoor flying Propeller guard Four-star features: The quality of the photo is ok, but not like the video on the website. Wind resistance Calibrating the control (this might be due to lacking experience) Tips: 1. You could found a lot of fun and useful videos of this drone on YouTube. 2. It will improve the quality and delay of video using the SD card.

Drone kept loosing signal and flew off on its own. I wouldn’t recommend this drone.

This is a lightweight drone from Holy Stone. It is very easy to learn and fly. The app downloadable from Apple or Google Play will take you through pre-flight calibration which takes only a minute, then it's off flying. It has a really good range, nearly 1000 feet and at it's size it can get lost in the sky so the return to home function will keep it from flying off into the horizon. It takes excellent photographs and will even follow you around. It comes with two batteries that last around 20 minutes each so you can do a lot of flying and photography on an excursion. For it's price you get a lot of bang for the buck! Five stars across the board!
