What my dr recommended
Due to health insurance, I had 3 surgeries in the last six months (maximize deductible, etc.). Anyway, I first had bunionectomy surgery on both feet and began using Mederma Advanced after both incisions had closed up which my podiatrist ok'd. Then, I had a tummy tuck (July 2020) which is a bikini line incision. As that incision closed up, I asked that dr if I could also use Mederma Advanced on it because I do believe it was helping my foot scars. My dr said said there is more research behind silicone for scars vs. that product so I went on Amazon and started looking for silicone strips and found these. One thing that is important when shopping is to check the length of the strips. This product had 7-inch strips vs. most other which were 3-inch strips. I've been using the silicone strips for a week on both my feet and my tummy. It was pretty interesting as I saw a marked improvement with my foot scars after the first day. Since my tummy scar is fresh, I haven't noticed a dramatic improvement in one week but all the info. clearly says you need to use these for like 8 weeks for best results so I'll update may review at that time. Please note these strips are very sticky so be careful when removing from their plastic sheets so it doesn't stick on itself. Also, after reading another review, I immediately rinse them and use hand soap when I take them off and put them on the large more durable plastic strip provided in the box. It's very important to keep them clean in between use per the instructions. The first time I had them on in a shower, I used Saran wrap cling plastic to cover them up but the next time I did not because I was short on time. I had no issue with them in the shower or afterwards peeling off. Now, not sure if that'd be true if you do it repeatedly. UPDATE: Included pics. 2-ft shot on 7/20 in dr’s office. Single ft shots taken at home on 8/18 so lighting is different. Haved used for 3-1/2 weeks now. Again, cleaning strips EVERY time after each use is important to maintain the integrity of these strips. Instructions say you can use 1 strip for 2 weeks. At this point, there’s a little nominal curling on the end of a them but they still stick fine and I may be able to use longer than 4 weeks but I may need to trim off some. They do appear to be helping. Will update my review at 8 weeks.

I have had impressive results with these.
I have had impressive results with these. My husband and I have both used them and both agreed that these work fantastic. I have a C-section scar due to an unethical doctor John Milton Hutson who I strongly recommend you stay away from —who did it just because he could, at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell labor and delivery. My husband has a scar from Moh’s surgery on his foot. He also used it on his upper arm where he burned himself on a hot iron griddle. For me on my abdomen, the strips adhere perfectly until I remove them or get them wet. I recommend taking them off to bathe or to shower. My scar healed really nicely on one side. I tend to carry my baby on one side and I wonder if that has anything to do with how the scar healed. The point is that on one side this car has disappeared to the point where it blends in with my skin and is nearly invisible. I’m 9.5 months out. I waited several months before ordering these and I don’t wear them all the time so given the effort I am very happy and I think they last a long time. The box says that they are washable and you just hang them up to dry when you’re done but we do not find it they wash that easily. Since my husband’s scars are on parts of his body that he moves a lot or there is a lot of friction he needs to replace his much more often. So far we have re ordered once or twice I think that if you’re diligent about keeping the strip all and are very keen to get rid of your scar you might have excellent results as we have I still need to get rid of the remaining 2/3 of the c-section scar. It appears to work a little less well on the keloid variety or once the hard scar tissue has set in. I’m still inside the one year mark and I think that I can continue to get some pretty impressive results if I keep at it.

Favorite of scar sheets I've tried
I have tried a few versions of silicone scar sheets after my cesarean, and I like this brand the best. It seems to do the best in Walking In Meister, has the tiniest bit of padding, does not itch or cause additional sensitivity around the area, and is nice and long. The only downside, is that because this is very sticky you do have to be careful to wash with mild soap and let dry after each use. You can probably stretch the used to more than 10 days if you really want to get your money's worth

Wonderful scar treatment
After reading lots of reviews, I purchased these for my upcoming c-section. Baby born 8/19 and was allowed to start using these 2 weeks post-op. So I started using these Sept 1st. (I will update this review after using for about 8 weeks). So far, hard to tell if they are working, or Im just healing well. But, scar is definately not purple or red at all, as some healing scars turn. Its light pink and healing very well. The strips are also a nice barrier and cushion against clothing. I followed other's reviews and use 2 strips and rotate them since you need to soap and wash the once/day then dry. Comes with a drying strip to lay it flat on. So I use one for a full day until shower, then after shower, use the other dry one. Its only been 1.5 weeks, but I feel like its healing well after Googling c-section scars and seeing people post-op incisions. For the price, I am very happy with these strips so far and can't wait to see full results. For the price, I would recommend these to any new momma who had a c-section, worried about scaring. Ill update after 8 full weeks of use. Good luck! :) 10/22/13 update: 100% happy and impressed with my results! My scar is very thin and flat. It has healed without any keloiding. I did massage it quite a bit to facilitate healing, but these strips are definately worth the investment. As women, lets face it, we are vain, and they are a small price to pay to help your scar heal the best it can. I will be buying a 2nd box to continue use past the 8 weeks so my scar can look the best it can. Highly recommend to my fellow c-section mommas out there.

On the fence
I have mixed reviews about these strips. The fit of the strip is excellent for c-sections, so that is a plus. They also seem well made, they don't irritate my skin and they are easy to clean. The directions in the package are clear and easy to follow. Things that I don't like are that one strip is meant to be worn for 2 weeks (with washing daily). But, by the time you get to day 9 or 10, the strip seems worn out. It peels away from my skin as soon as I put on my clothes and then becomes annoying. The directions say that the "stickiness" has no effect on the effectiveness, but even if that is true, it's still creates an uncomfortable feeling. As for effectiveness, I am still on the fence. My scar doesn't look bad, but I can't tell if it is fading. It definitely hasn't gotten worse or turned into a keloid scar, so that is a plus! I will need to continue these for at least another cycle to say if they truly work.

This works, but you must use it every day
I have had three c-sections. In the first one, I developed a very large keloid. It was awful. The second time around, I decided I would use these strips, but I didn't start using them until about 6 weeks after my c-section and it wasn't everyday. I also stopped using them around 6-months post-operation. My keloid from my second c-section was smaller, but it was still much larger and uglier that I wanted. Then, when I went in for my third c-section, I asked my doctor what I could do better this time around and he said that I should use these c-section scar strips, but that I have to start right after I get home from the hospital and that I need to wear them everyday, 24/7. This was our last child, so I wanted to do it right this time. The only time I take the strip off is when I'm showering or jumping in the pool. It has been 11 months now post-op, and I can definitively say that these things work!!! My keloid is MUCH SMALLER AND FLATTER than the previous two c-section scars. I wish I had taken photos to compare. I am truly so amazed and happy! I can also tell that my scar continues to get better as time is passing. This was such a good investment in my time/money. I'm still wearing the strips... and plan to for another few months and then start to wean off of them when my baby is about 15 months old. These strips really work, but you must use them 24/7 and for at least 6-12 months...even longer if you are prone to developing bad keloids.

Works better than micropore tape
I had an old scar revised and wanted to make sure it healed well this time. I fell in love with these silicone sheets! They were so easy to use and re-use, fit great, were super comfortable and best of all, they worked! I loved how easy it was to remove and wash them for reuse. Just rub the sticky side together with foam soap under running water to get them clean and make sure you get the fuzz/lint off from your clothing. Lay flat to dry with sticky side up and reapply after your shower. They stay on really well under Spanx even after being washed, but you may have trouble if your clothing or undergarments rub against them all the time especially when pulling clothes on and off. Otherwise, I've noticed a difference in the way the scar looks and feels. I'm prone to keloid and was worried about that happening but it's healing thin and flat and it's lightening up all the time. This basically acts like the outside layer of skin and buffers against all the things that irritate the delicate new skin as it heals. I recommend them to everyone. My surgeon was so impressed, even he asked what they were so he could recommend to other patients!

I was doubtful, but it really seems to be working!
I had a c-section with my second because she was breech and the scar had a "shelf" according to the doctor that would probably always be like that. Basically it stuck out pretty far from the skin, and I hated it and wished it was more flat. My husband bought these for me because I was always saying I wished I could find a way to make it heal a little better. I was skeptical, but I have been using it for about 5 weeks and honestly noticed a difference after two. The results aren't amazing, miracle kind of results, but they are results. The skin seems to have softened so that the scar doesn't stick out as much and blends a little better. I'm going to keep using them to see how much better it gets, but the results are already exciting as every two weeks when I put a new one on, I notice a difference (I have been taking pictures every two weeks because I didn't believe it would help). Basically it feels like the fabric part of a band-aid (the fabric kind obviously), but it sticks surprisingly well. You are supposed to wash/rinse off once a day and wear for at least 12 hours. Normally I take it off to wash it either when I go to bed or take a shower and then I let it sit so it can dry off...and after two weeks the adhesive is actually really great. It feels like nothing is on there, so it doesn't bother me during the day and is honestly easier than applying scar cream several times a day (I never remember to do that). I have noticed the scar itching a little but I think that's just like when it was healing and just makes me remember that it works! I started using this when my daughter was about 4.5 months and really believe that if I had started as soon as I could apply scar creams it would have even worked better. DEFINITELY recommend to c-section mommies!

Excellent product, Happy with the result!
Excellent product, assisted healing of scare quickly. This product is very easy to apply, and the material is very soft and extremely comfortable to wear. I’ve used them for 4 weeks and I’ve seen a huge improvement. The only thing is, after a few wash the edges won’t have enough adhesive.
