Solidly made using a heavier walled plastic for the tube than others I’ve bought. The advert does say for small birds but I reckon the house sparrows struggled to hang onto the small diameter landing pins and get their heads in at the right angle to feed, so I slipped some pieces of hollow garden cane over them, seemed to solve my concern. I particularly like the water protection lid and how it positively shuts and hangs over the rim to give the seed a bit of rain protection. A bargain at this price for a pair. .

I have many feeders in my garden, but the main seed one is years old and very manky. I would have changed it a long time ago, except it is a favourite of our wood pigeons who can sit on a bowl strategically placed on the feeding station and they can just reach the bottom outlet on the feeder. I have looked at many others over the last year, but none has exactly the length I needed, until I saw these. They are a perfect size and length and are nice and clean and hygienic, which will make a change for my poor birds. I have cut off the two bottom perches (Sorry Urban Deco!) so that they don't stick in the necks of the wood pigeons when they are feeding, and the other small sparrows, blue tits and robins can perch on the higher perches and feed at the same time. I've now got a perfect solution to feed my wood pigeons (and the hanging height means that it is just out of reach of the feral city pigeons after a lot of strategic measuring!) and the smaller birds. Win win!! Good value at the current price of £14.99 for two.

Bought as I have been feeding the birds through a harsh winter and would be away for a few days. Definitely suitable for small birds who started using it right away and larger ground feeders can eat what has dropped underneath as they fly on and off. Doesn't seem to come apart to clean it. Plastic feed container seems quite thin so probably won't last very long but seems reasonable standard for price. Delivery was on time and followed delivery instructions.

Great product and cheap compared to others that are similar

Bought to replace a smaller version which was almost too successful in attracting finches, the extra perches on this one should help. Only grumble is the bright red in colour, hardly blends in to the garden environment! I’m told birds are colour blind but I’m not and I find it a bit garish.
