Put it together and let it do the work
04/06/26: Arrived the next day after ordering, all parts accounted for; everthing seems to be working; going to install it on my RV to keep my battery charged while not in use; easy to put together but instructions included; provides releaf knowing that my battery won't be dead when I go to start my RV.

Very Durable
Works as advertised. I use this to keep my boat battery charged up. The wind actually blew the panel off my dock into the lake. I didn't find it till the next day. I thought it was probably dead, but I set it back up and plugged it into the battery port and it works as good as when knew.

all good but for partial shadow
Pros: - solid built controller, - sturdy aluminum frame, - good panel output, Got over 1.6Amp (21 Watt) out of it in the direct North-USA winter sun, very good! Cons: - somewhat flimsy butterfly nuts holding the support frame, you need to hold the bolt inside the frame with the screw driver to tighten it enough to stand steady on slippery surfaces. - the panel tolerates partial shadow very poorly. Covering just a single corner block can drop the panel output by 75%, covering a row or two brings it to zero. My intended use case was to keep the panel inside the car for weather protection and some concealment, but I could not get any juice out of it with the doors closed. Placing the panel right under the moonroof did not do any good either. Great product to use with an RV, boat etc where you can keep the panel in the full sun. Less so for placing the solar panel under the windshield. I could not make it work yet.

Battery tender for pickup
Pickup battery gets drained due to continuous draw from on board factory electronics, this is keeping the battery topped of on my pickup.

Perfect to charge a battery for a trailer winch.
Very nice solar panel. Used it to charge a battery powering a winch on a trailer. Battery tested 13.9 volts at standby. Great product!

Great for trolling motor battery.
Hooked it up on my pontoon boat to keep my trolling motor battery charged while it is sitting at the dock. Been using it for a month and it has kept the battery fully charged.

Doesn't work
So I got this solar panel kit with the intent to charge my 12v riding lawn mower battery when it's not in use. I'm so glad I tested it before hooking it up. The rated voc of the panel itself is 21.6v and the isc is rated at 1.97A. When I hooked the solar panel directly to my multimeter and bypassing the 13v controller, I got a voltage of 22v, which is correct since it's rated at 21.6v. When I tested the current, I got a max of 1.1A out of the rated 1.97A, so that is barely half of what it's rated at. When I hooked up the 12v controller to the solar panels, I was pulling 22v out of it and not the 12v it was supposed to be, when I tested the current, I maxed out at .7A... Even farther off from the rated 1.97A it was rated at. Only thing I can guess is that both the solar panels and the controller is defective. Again, I am SO glad I tested it before hooking it up to my 12v battery since this is pushing 22v through it instead of 12v that it is advertised at.
