Great Purchase!
I bought this lens for my Canon EOS Rebel T3 with the Canon EF version. I am very impressed. I only have a normal 18-55mm lens and a 75-300mm lens for my camera. I wanted to get farther shots, so I researched a little. I was conflicted because there were some lenses that were thousands of dollars, and some, like this one, that are very nicely priced compared to those. I bought it to see how it would work out. Please Note: I am not an advanced photographer, so I don't know a lot of technical terms. Also, I just got this lens the day I am posting this. I might have more to add to this review later. What is included in the Canon EF: - 500/1000mm lens - Blow thingie (I don't know what it's called) This cleans off dust from the lens - Plastic pen that has a brush side and a smooth, foamy side This cleans the lens, too - 2 Microfiber cleaning cloths - T Mount Adapter This connects the camera to the lens - 2.0x Teleconverter This is connected to the lens to switch it from 500mm to 1000mm - Hard Tulip Lens Hood This is added to the end of the lens to protect it and to keep glare away - UV Filter This protects the lens from scratches and eliminates ultraviolet rays to make sharper pictures This kit is really awesome. I didn't expect all of the little goodies, so it was a nice surprise. About the Lens: The lens is great. It is manual, so it is time for me to improve in that area. It is sensitive to light. Bright and sunny days are great because this lens provides fast response. It is slower in darker areas, so a tripod would be very useful at those times. If you like to vary your distances for shots, this lens only has a 500mm and 1000mm setting. There isn't an in between, so please be aware of that. All in all, for only about $100, I feel like this was an awesome deal. I am very happy with my purchase. For the two pictures attached, they were both taken with the 2.0x converter.

Great lens!
This is a great telephoto lens! The lens is exactly as described and all items listed in the product description were included. The T-mount for Canon EOS fits the lens and my camera as expected. It arrived even earlier than was expected which was great. I have taken a few pictures with the lens so far and I am pleased with the results. I'm looking forward to taking some shots of the moon and some other long distance shots. Keep in mind that this is a manual lens, so no auto-focus and the aperture must be changed manually. For the price the lens is well worth it!

Great Telephoto Lens If You Don't Want to Spend >$1000
This is a great 1000 mm lens if you don't want to spend $1000 + for the ones with more features. A few things to note: -Everything is manually done on this lens! Manual focus, manual aperture settings, and you have to set your DSLR in manual mode and play with the shutter speed and iso for best results! -There is only 2 levels of zoom on this! You get either 500mm, or you can screw on a 2x converter to get 1000mm. There is no way to get any focal length in between 500 and 1000 mm. -Use a stable tripod for best results. The lens is heavier than my DSLR, so it can be a challenge to hold it steady if you are hand-shooting. The lens comes with a clamp that screws onto the base of a tripod. You can move the clamp forward or backward on the lens so that the weight is centered onto the tripod. -So far I've taken photos a half moon and the sun (with a solar filter). The pictures came out decent but you will notice on both shots the entire body isn't in focus. I'm thinking this is due to using too large of an aperture (f/8) but I haven't played around with it enough to correct that. This may be an issue with the lens itself. Overall I'm happy with the product. The cleaning accessories are a nice bonus if you don't have them.

Not what they advertised
It is a good lens, but it does not fit, nor has an adapter to fit any bayonet mount camera.

Nice but not practical for me
The lens is a good deal if you can handle its size. It's manual, so bright, sunny days are necessary for a fast and sharp response. I had difficulties taking animal action shots even on a sunny day with the camera stabilized. A tripod is necessary! It fit my Canon EOS 3 fine with the adaptor. For about $100 it's great deal if you can deal with the size of the lens. I'm a 5'4" female and the lens is longer than my forearm. Its just not practical for me. I know people said you need a tripod but the thing is a monster. Its too much effort for me to lug the lens from one spot to another, attaching and detaching the lens. There is no way I can safely carry this lens in the woods attached to my camera. FYI - you have a limited time to return this product, which is expected BUT I was surprised to pay for return shipping. Maybe I missed this information but I didn't see anything on the webpage indicating you had to pay return shipping and none of the accessory items required me to pay return shipping.

Fantastic Value(see pics!)
I love this lens! $90 for some amazing photos!? Like what!? Ok, so u definitely need to know your stuff before u start using this lens but if u know how to get the maximum image quality out of such a cheap lens, you’ll end up with some great photos. Those are only a few of the photos I have taken with this lens. Now yes it could be sharper, it could have autofocus, it could have a better max aperture but you have to remember what you are paying for it. $90 for a all metal lens with a smooth dampened focus ring, a weirdo aperture system but usable and a universal t-mount. Definitely buy this lens but if you are just starting DONT! Your pictures will come out terrible, it’s quite difficult to use even with an abundance of photography and videography experience. Overall I love this lens and would recommend it to anyone looking to take some great photos and have lots of fun.
