Fantastic Attic Fan!
Game changer. We only had a ridge vent in our attic and the lack of air flow made it really hot upstairs. I bought this and installed it in one of the vents. It fit perfectly and installation was pretty easy. My fan came with a 110 volt plug, so I had to run wire and install an outlet nearby. The fan runs really quietly but I did out some insulation between the flanges of the fan and studs - just in case I had a vibration. As soon as the fan was installed and running, the temperature started to drop on the second floor. Very happy! Great value for the money! I installed this back in June of 2025 and it’s November now. No issues with rigs fan at all.

Great Fan! Great Customer Service!
This is a fantastic Exhaust Fan... I have the Speed controller installed and all works great! However, when I received the fan there were some of the spot welds that hold the grill in place that had broken... likely during shipping. I contacted customer service thinking they might give me a diy or discount if I keep it... Instead the company said that if I like just go ahead and keep it and we will re-reimburse you 100% which is what I did. I simply fastened some washers in the right places and its all working great! I am giving 5 stars because its a great fan and a great customer service company!

Works well, reasonably priced
About as expected. It does what its supposed to do, although I wish it was a bit more powerful. Not sure if it will cut down on the sawdust in my shop, but it does circulate the air. I installed it in a piece of plywood in a window. Overall I am satisfied. Mine did not come with any mounting hardware as the add says it does, when I contacted customer support about it they said none of their fans come with “installation tools”, I think they misunderstood, its fine, I found some that worked fine. I initially had a problem with the louvers not closing. The fan blades slow down gradually when you turn it off, so the louvers drop slowly, and they held up at the very end, leaving them open about 1/4 inch. I applied WD-40 to the top where the louvers hinge but it didn't help, I had to reach in with a long screwdriver to push them open quickly so they would drop back and close completely. After about 3 days they began closing completely on their own. Its now about 2 months later and they work fine.

It will cool down a home.
I bought this exhaust fan a while back and just got around to installing it. I have been using those 20" box fans to attempt moving air from one half of the house that has an air blower on the roof to the other side that has nothing. While they were convenient and sat nicely in the window, they just didn't work. The thing with the box fans is that when they are off, hot air can come back in the house so you have to go through the effort of removing the fan, closing the window, and putting the curtain back up. All of that has changed. Using some scrap 2x4's and 2x8's, I made a window box, and with a short run of backer rod, I have a loosely sealed window fan with louvered closing panels, and you can tell this by the dark image where very little light is coming through. This fan pulls so much air, I can leave the main cooler off and it will still cool down the house, it just takes longer. I highly recommend one of those wireless outlet switches as the fan can be turned on/off from the doorway and I don't even have to enter the room. A bonus because that room is really cluttered! The other good thing is I still have a screen on the window to help keep critters and insects out when the fan is off because the louvers don't close all the way. That is the only reason this fan didn't get top marks. And for anyone who will say it's too loud, it's an exhaust fan. You typically won't be sitting in the same room that it's running in. It makes less noise than a swamp cooler, and in conjunction with one, it will probably lower cooling costs as it pulls the hot air out of the area. And I went with a window box so I didn't have to cut a huge hole in a log wall. Edit: After a couple of days, the louvers started fully closing, and since that was the only reason I gave it a 4 rating, it is only fair to make the positive correction with the improvement.

Good option for crank windows, runs a little hot
I've been struggling for years on some option to get a good fan for my crank windows in my house. I stumbled on this option. You can see the cutout that I made in the photo. This 12x12 fan fits right in there with the window and everything. It is much quieter than I expected considering the amount of air it supposedly moves. Honestly it doesn't feel like it moves a ton of air but sometimes that is hard to tell from the suck side. Seems like it's made reasonably well too. I picked this over other models since it had a cord already attached, it's a pretty thick cord which I appreciate. My only qualm is that the motor gets pretty hot. After running for an hour it's close to 130°F right on the motor. That being said the hot air around the motor should be getting drawn outside considering the location so it shouldn't be a problem for the room, just don't touch the thing. I was originally looking at getting an attic fan for the house but this moves 1/8 of the air at 1/20 of the cost so it seems like I could build from here as I see fit..
