Stens New 750-058 Blade Lock Style, Clamps to Mower Deck and Prevents The Blade from Rotating, Locks Blade to Make Removal or Installation Safer and Easier GB 5555 Black

I am very happy for myself and anyone out there who has wanted support for restricting their 3 Blade Lawn Tractor cutting blades from moving while removing or installing them from underneath the deck (not removed) while the Lawn Tractor is elevated by a jack made for elevating it. This Stens 750-058 Blade Lock really works! It is SMALL enough to be installed for left, right, and most important MIDDLE Blade block & removal and mine has not failed or been damaged yet! Attaching the Stens 750-058 Blade Block for MIDDLE Blade block and removal/installation and DAMAGE to the Stens 750-058 Blade Block during Blade removal/installation were major concerns for ME when I was deciding on whether or not to purchase the Blade Block. I am glad I chose to buy it.

Works great

This device actually works. It held the blades while I used a wrench and hammer ro break the blades free. The concerns are with the plastic t-handle and screw tip lasting mofe than a few uses. They don't seem to be very strong.

This little device is well worth the money and simple to use to change lawn mower blades. Usually in changing the first time blades that are place on a new mower is torqued to the maximum at the factory are rather hard to remove the cutting blades. I had to remove two 21-inch blades from a riding mower and placed this simple device underneath the mower deck to prevent each blade from moving as I attempted to loosen the nut with a wrench and hammer. This device did not move not once as I hammered the wrench to break the torque of the nut. This product is a must to be in my toolbox at all times for now on.

This tool is a stamped, flat, piece of metal bent as two pieces in one. It was folded over onto itself to form one tool. It failed on first use. It was extremely small and just barely gripped the underside of the cutting deck. If you want to find the perfect tool for use as a blade lock, go to Lowes or Harbor Freight and find a hobby vise. The small vise is perfect for use as a blade lock. I gave it five stars because I like Stens and buy a lot of their products.

This tool comes with no instructions. It isn’t hard to figure out, though. The problem is that it’s made from light metal that cannot take very much force. If you have to put a lot of torque to your blades to loosen them, this tool will bend and slip. It might be good for single blade push mowers but it doesn’t work with my 3 blade rider.

Worked so well. Always have trouble holding blades in place to remove. This definitely took care of that problem!

Purchased for my lawnmower servicing business. This attaches to the side of the deck to stop the blade from turning when applying torque to remove/install blades. It doesn't seem to work well on plastic decks, but is spot ok for metal decks.

Couldn't do it without someone helping me. never got it done in the past - BUT NOW - with this simple tool I've been able to do it by myself !!! A snap !!! easy as they come............. love it.

This item worked well and did its job. It does seem a little "light weight" in construction but it does the job.
