No CORDS!!!!
I got one of these with my first child over a year ago. I bought two more recently (one for my sister & a second one for myself, since we're expecting) The first time around I wanted something that I could use when I wasn't around any type of electricity or hot water (for example, in the mall). I felt like this option was a decent price to try out, even if it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped. Pros: -no cords. use it in the car, on a walk, at the airport, etc. No water, electricity, car charger,...etc - Fun. I'm a little weird like that, but I think it's fun to watch it crystalize into a warm solid, then back into a liquid state when boiled! - worked with our bottles. We used both ventaire and medela bottles. Both fit inside well. - fairly compact. I am able to stick it in the diaper bag (a little cautiously so it doesn't get bumped). Cons: - One shot deal. If you set it off accidentally, it's done until you can boil it. If you're on a long trip where the baby will need more than one bottle, you will need to find another way to warm the next bottle. - Boiling it does take time, but not a big deal (at least in my opinion). - Takes a little time. Many people complained that it takes a long time to warm the bottle and doesn't get the milk HOT... 1. it takes a long time when you stick the bottle in hot water at home too. As a parent, you learn to anticipate & prepare. 2. I don't think milk should be hot - room temperature, maybe a little warmer. Would I buy it again / Recommend to a friend: Yes and Yes (and I have!)

Best bottle warmer for public places
This bottle warmer is seriously a life saver for public places, we have like 5 of these things! I exclusively breastfeed, so I only used it for pumped milk. If you are pulling a cold bottle right out of the fridge and expecting it to make it nice and toasty for your baby, that's not what it does (it will however warm up room temperature milk). What it does do is keep a warmed bottle warm for a few hours. All you have to do is warm up a bottle on the stove while you are getting ready to leave, put it in the warmer, and about 30 minutes before your baby needs to eat activate it. Since breast milk is perfectly good at room temp for 6-8 hours I never had an issue. We often heat up more than one bottle before we left for a big event, like a wedding for example, put each bottle in an unactivated warmer. Once we get to our destination we activate one, about 30 minutes or an hour later (whenever he got hungry) our little one drank it, and then we would immediately activate the next one, which kept the second bottle warm for the next 2-3 hours, and so forth. When we got home we put all the COOLED OFF warmers in a big pot of boiling water and bam, 10 minutes later they were ready for the next outing. If you use them correctly they are super useful!

it's okay - not good if you have a baby who wants to eat right away
It's okay. it does warm the bottle slightly - but my baby can't wait that long. once he decides he wants to eat he wants to eat! the boiling is also a little time consuming. I don't use this item too much - also tough to fit the tall Dr. Brown's bottles in. all in all, I could have done without purchasing this product.

Okay — not great
This is fine for one-time use, but if you’re going to be out all day and need to heat up more than one bottle, you’re out of luck. And it only warms a bottle to just above room temp — much cooler than a legit bottle warmer would do. Not a big deal unless you have a very picky baby. I do think it’s a pain in the butt to “reset” this thing. You have to put it in a large pot of boiling water for a full 15 minutes. Like, a rolling boil. If the water doesn’t stay hot enough or if it’s in anything shy of 15 minutes, it may look like it’s gel again but it’ll stiffen back up and you’ll have to do it all over again. Overall, takes a lot of energy and wastes a lot of water. I rarely use this and instead fill a coffee thermos with boiling water. It takes up less room in the diaper bag, heats the bottle better, and is much easier to “reset” — I can just get some hot water and I’m good to go.

Great solution for busy moms!
This is the best by far of these types of warmers. I have this one and two other brands; this is the only one that works very well. (In fact, I've had this one for six years--the others haven't lasted 3 years and in the case of two, 2 months.) The others go off prematurely because the encasements are soft-sided. This encasement is hard-sided, so it protects the disc inside (which is how you activate the heating crystals.) Two of the others burst so the gel came out--I think they were just cheaper. This one seems more well-made. I do not keep my bottles inside this until I'm ready to warm them--doing so can cause it to activate. Also do NOT warm your Dr Brown's bottles with the "straw" down inside--the milk will flow up the straw and leak out (even if you have the little white plastic disc in there.) Instead, keep the straw and nipple in a separate baggie and just use the hard cap until the bottles are warmed. Then put the bottle together to feed baby. In all, this is one of my "must-have" products, and even though I'm six months away from not having any more bottles to warm, I'm ordering a second. (In my defense, I do have twins to feed this time around. ;) NOTE: If you are traveling on a plane, the flight attendants will warm your bottles for you--they will put them down inside cups of hot water. Also, I've gotten cups of hot water for tea at airport coffee stands and put my bottles inside those to warm. So, save these for when you're in a car or something and have no alternative. Most people are MORE than happy to help you warm a bottle, esp when you're traveling.

Brilliant Idea and I love that it heats up the bottle for you on demand. Perfect for those days out.

Also kein langes auskochen im Topf nötig.

Consiglio a tutti.

The thermo insert doesn't work properly, it took me 15-20 attempt to start it (I gave up actualyy,, just finally happend). It's so difficult to restart it (you need to boil it in water for 15 mins). AND a normal size bottle doesnt fit in. I use MAM, the short one (130ml) but doesn't even fit in. It's hard to zipp up even with a thiner Medela. Worst baby item I've bought ever. I rather chose to take a full thermos of bailed ater with me....
