Excellent bin for block charcoal.
This bin is excellent for large block charcoal for our Kamado Joe. It keeps the darn dust out of my hopper where I keep all charcoal and smoking wood. While it's designed to be lifted and pour, it's easier for me to just take the large block out by hand, as it would be awkward to pour large block because some can be larger than the opening and allow the dust I am trying to avoid getting everywhere to get into the the grill. Nevertheless, I wish I had found this earlier. It's a real problem solver.

Great for charcoal and other grilling supply storage!
We have several of these for keeping our charcoal dry (at home and at our camper). We leave the charcoal in the bag and then put the bag inside. My husband keeps his grilling gloves and a lighter inside of this at the campground. These seal tightly enough that even when the humidity outside is heavy and so thick you can hardly breathe, the charcoal inside of this is completely dry! These fit perfectly under the back of our camper so they are out of the way. The one we have at home fits under our charcoal grill. The handle is solid on these! We have not used them to store the charcoal loose inside but I would think it would be pretty easy to handle pouring out of this!

Doesn't hold 20lbs of pellets.
A few reviews on here said this would hold a 20lb bag of pellets, so maybe it varies by brand. I buy my pellets at Lowes and get the Pit Boss Brand, a standard 20Lb bag of pellets does not fit in this container leaving maybe a pound or so in the bag. The container is nice quality and it is handy to deal with the smaller size but wish it was just a little bit bigger to fit an entire bag. I work around the issue by filling the container and then dumping the rest into the hopper. If you don't switch out pellets frequently, it might work out fine.

Keep your Charcoal Dry
keeps the charcoal from getting wet and works great. It stays outside next to the grill and we have had a really wet year and the charcoal has stayed dry. Easy to use, it has been a great purchase.

Modest size, rugged and worth the price. Many years of outdoor use expected
I bought several for apartment buildings upon recommendation of snow plow guy to store ice melt at entry doors. Stiff, durable and seems freezing proof and water tight. Modest size and easily holds a scoop for tenants to use. Certainly should be air tight for charcoal, or in our case, ice melt. Nice handle to help haul to storage in the spring.

Works just as advertised
I'll give this five stars because it does exactly what it is supposed to - it holds a small bag of charcoal, makes dispensing coals easy, and it keeps the coals dry. Also perfect when you need to transport coals - we got this small one to carry in the RV after good experience with the larger (24lb) version. I leave our larger kaddy on our porch next to the Barbie and, while it is under a roof, we get some pretty hefty thunderstorms and stuff on the porch gets WET. Came home one day and everything was soaked including the outside of the charcoal kaddy, but the coals inside were bone dry. No more damp charcoal - woo hoo. I would recommend the smaller size (12lb) for take-along use. If you are using it at home only, go for the larger version (24lb).

It's either great or a return
I have bought several of these, kept one and given two as a gift. The ones I kept work great, but I bought them locally and could check to see if the lids snapped on tightly. I just bought a fourth one from Amazon and had to return it because the lid didn't even fit the tub, much less snap on tight to protect the contents from moisture. Very disappointed in the last purchase.

Sturdy container for storing briquettes
Unit is very well built, easy to use, an ideal place to store 12lbs of briquettes. The write up indicates the unit is waterproof - I have not tried this as I store it in my trailer, however top is very snug so I would have no problem leaving it outdoors during BBQ season. Very satisfied.

Well Built and Sufficient Storage Space
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I ordered this but I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdy material and plenty of space. This will hold at least (2) 16lb bags of charcoal and it closes very tightly, and stays closed. Very good material. Very happy with this purchase

Solid and good fitting lid, doesnt quite fit a full 20lb bag of pellets though.
Just started raining as I put the pellets in so didn't take any pics, but they are neat tubs for storing smoker pellets. However, despite my best efforts, they don't quite fit a full 20lb bag of pellets. Its very close, like a scoops worth at most, but personally I couldn't quite get a full bags worth in. The small amount of pellets I couldn't fit, I flung in with some others, not enough of them to taint the flavour from the half a tubs worth I had in the other tub. Perhaps filling a bit and then jiggling them to settle them would help, I'll try that next time. On the other hand, very sturdy, handle is plenty strong enough and the lid fits tight, the dispenser lid also closes snuggly. The fact i couldn't quite get a full bag in isnt the end of the world really but would be nice if they were just a tiny bit bigger.

Pay attention to the size
Too small. I didn't pay attention to size and assumed it was the same size as the one in bunnings... but cheaper
