Very satisfied with this product
I wanted to weigh in on these silicon wig grips as I've seen quite a variety of opinions on them. First, I'm a full-time wig wearer with lots of experience with wig grips. In the past, I successfully used velvet-type wigs grips and I still like them. However, I recently buzzed my bio-hair (Just sick of it!!!) and when I did the velvet type grips started riding up on me for the first time. (before cutting my hair, my little pony tail helped to anchor the grip) I tried taping the velvet type and had mixed results. The worst of which was a nasty rash and sore skin wear the tape was! So back to these silicon ones. They ARE tighter than the velvet ones. However, I don't find them so tight that they are unwearable and I think I will get used to it with continued use. The best part, for me, is that the silicon grip hasn't slipped at all today. I've been wearing it now for about 7 hours and I think that if it was going to slip it would have done by now! I really like these grips and will continue to use them. My head is 22.5 inches, by the way, so I fall into the large/average head size. If your head is smaller than 22.5 I can't imagine the grip would be too tight. If you are large/average like me, I think the grip will feel snug but not uncomfortable. Hope this helps someone. Thanks!

Fine for 10 minutes. Any longer is medieval torture.
Let me start by saying that I have an extremely small head. My head is so small I mostly have to wear child size hats, and special order wigs to their extra small or XX-small sizing. Even with my tiny head, this device was way too tight. I literally thought I was gonna pass out from the pain. I made the horrible mistake of wearing this underneath my wig install that I had planned on wearing for 72 hours. After the 11th minute, I had probably the worst headache I had ever had in my life. Being a newbie to wigs, I just took some Advil and thought I'd suck it up and I went about my evening. After about four hours, I had to come home early and completely undo the wig install that had taken me so long and cut this thing off my head. My head felt battered and bruised, and there were deep indents in my head. I'm writing this review the morning after and my head is still in excruciating pain, and it looks like the dent marks are still there. The only appropriate use for this band is on a block while you style your wig, or if you need to make a video that will allow you to take this thing off within 10 minutes. Otherwise, please do not waste your money like I did. I'm very sorry I bought this product and I'm unable to return it.

A solution to the tightness
Like most of the reviews, it was so tight I almost took it off at a restaurant. I usually pull my hair back into a low ponytail or braid it to the back if my wig needs to lay flat. I have thinned edges and had the imprint of the band deeply embedded into my scalp but my favorite Mommy wig (pixie cut) stayed in place like never before. Determined to make it work because it remarkably keeps the wig in place, I had to try something. So, instead of sticking my hair to the back, I swooped my hair on sides so the scalp would be covered. Then added a stocking cap, pulling it down pretty far on my face and over the ears. Add the wig band, then fold the stocking cap edges over the wig band so it's impossible for the stocking cap to slip from under the wig band. If you don't have enough hair to swoop, use a dome cap instead of a stocking cap so there is a cushion between the scalp and the wig band. After doing this, I could've slept in the wig band. Definitely worth trying if you have a small head and thin hair and have trouble getting that secure feeling. Bring on the wind storm...my hair is staying on 😆

Holds wig, runs seemingly small
It was too tight on my small head. Gave me a head ache. The wig did see more secure though.

More Comfortable Than Velvet!
I just lost my hair to chemotherapy, and I'm an absolute beginner at wearing wigs. I purchased 2 kinds of wig grips: (velvet and these silicone bands) fully expecting these would pull my delicate little baby hairs, cause excess sweating, and be an overall negative experience, but I WAS WRONG! What I got "just in case the velvet ones don't work" as a last resort has become my best COMFORT WITH CONFIDENCE! The velvet bands made my head feel wet from perspiration, but these silicone bands kept my wig dryly in place without tugging my tiny baby hairs!! People don't realize hair loss from chemotherapy can physically hurt, leaving the scalp sore. The idea of wearing a tight band seemed counterintuitive. I thought the more expensive (velvet) solution would be the best, but again I WAS WRONG! These silicone bands were the least expensive grip I found, yet they worked the BEST! No Velcro strips, no clasps, just a pull-on band that stays securely in place. How simple! A+ Amazon! Thanks for giving me some confidence during a really difficult time!!

Its not that tight but...
It's not THAT tight, (and I have a big head; runs in my family) a little more than a little bit but not unbearable; but it doesn't do anything. I was looking at a more expensive one called the wig fix by the renatural for about 30 dollars but I saw this one for about 8 dollars total including tax. So I finished my checkout and gave it a shot. However, this does absolutely nothing to prevent a wig from falling off. It does prevent it from sliding back if you hold your head relatively still and in natural motions during the day, but for "backup" for if someone pulls your hair (if you live in the hood you know) or if you're on a roller coaster. Heck. No. I did what they did in a renatural ad where the girls would flip and flounce their hair around to show it stayed in place and mine did not. It flew back and side to side until the silicone band was exposed after about 3 flips. And im not talking neck breaking flips either. Only worth it at 6 dollars and some change. Don't pay any more for anything similar to this design. Even with the nubs on it, it barely sticks on and I can't imagine the wig fix to work any better.

How to use instructions
Work great. They do need instructions for fitting. Like what side goes up.

I do not have hair and have been wearing wigs for some years now which do seem to slip and move. I found these silicon head bands on Amazon - bought them - wear them - and they are great! They work and are comfortable. Thanks Amazon.

Buen tamaño no lástima y muy funcional

They're a little tight sometimes, so I'd definitely suggest wearing them for short periods for a while to begin with to hopefully add a little bit of stretch. They are super effective and holding the wig in place though.

Esta demasiado apretada insoportable

Sticks really well to your head, but it's super tight and rips off your hair when you take it off. Not at all adjustable. Kind of hurts if you wear it for too long but it keeps the wig in place.
