You already want the shoe. Now - Sizing is everything - Here's my experience.
So, I was introduced to the "desert Boot" through Oliberque a few years ago - learned then that Clark was the original. Went down the chukka rabbit hole, decided to get the one and only. These things have memory foam - if you could craft a pillow shoe for yourself, you'd come up with this. Women love them. I have the beeswax, but am not opposed to buying more versions now that I've figured out my size. I ordered three damn pairs of shoes, and this third one works. Here's what you HAVE to know so you're not returning them and all of that... I need wide. Plain and simple. Have dealt with ingrown toenails all my life, and I absolutely CAN'T have any pressure on my left big toe. So, I usually order half-an-inch larger for most of my shoes to get that toe-box room. I wear USA size 11 on average (some of my shoes are US 12, some are US 10.5). I need wide. What fits me with this shoe - the size that I settled on - 10.5 wide. These shoes are wide to begin with, and they're only going to break in and get wider. So, if you're like me and have a morbid fear of narrow shoes, don't worry with these. Relatively speaking, they run larger than others for the size. So, if anything, size DOWN and go wide. I ordered the US 11 and could feel the shoe on my left big toe (the problem child operated-on toe). No bueno. I know from experience this will eventually suck for me. So, I ordered the US 11 wide and quite honestly it was too long. I didn't feel my left big toe but I just knew there was too much space left over in that toe box. A shoe still does have to function in its original intention... Floppy clown shoes aren't very practical. So, I ordered DOWN length-wise from what I would normally wear, and went wide. This worked. Just did a Costco run today and damn... Dude these are COMfortable. And I was just getting them to look classy, rugged, stylish, all of that. So, size down by half-an-inch - that's my recommendation. If your toes are claustrophobic, size down and go wide. Worked for me. Now I'm addicted. Going to have five pairs of these very quickly. This price is literally unbelievable. Looking at some Thursday Boots (Captain - maybe President) which I will most likely end buying, knowing myself, but seriously I can get five pairs of these Clarks for the price of one pair of those boots. But you're getting into Goodyear welts and all of that with those artisan boots, so not a fair comparison. My M.O. I personally will just buy something new if ish goes south. Time is money - diminishing returns if you start spending too much time looking for ish. So, just buy them. Bushacre 3 - not the earlier versions. Cheap as ish. And NOBODY knows what you paid for them. They just see that you're wearing them and size you up as someone who's interesting.

Really, really pleased with these boots.
UPDATE: I have had these boots for almost a full year now, wearing them just about every day to work. I could not be happier. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am extremely pleased with these boots. A few thoughts, in no particular order: • They fit as expected. Based on some other reviews, I ordered my normal size (12) and half a size down (11.5). The 12s are perfect, 11.5 was too small. But YMMV. • They were a little stiff at first, but after a couple of weeks they've broken in quite nicely, and are now EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. • I took these along with a pair of sneakers on a recent European vacation--a vacation where I spent the majority of my days on my feet, walking around sightseeing. The days I wore the sneakers, my feet, legs, and back ended up hurting quite a lot. The days I wore these boots, I experienced no pain or discomfort--just the normal fatigue that comes from walking 5-15 miles a day. • I was worried about scuffs, but most scuffs rub out really easily. As these break in, you get some folds and creases, but that seems to add to their character. • The boots are really flexible, in terms of style-they work well in casual settings, but also work nicely in less casual environments. They pair nicely with both blue and grey slacks. I don't know if I'd try wearing them with a suit (maybe a little too casual for that?), but they still present a nice range of options. • We'll see how they hold up over time, but given the Clark's brand reputation, I have high hopes for their durability. • Honestly, I can't believe you can get boots of this quality for less than $60. It's stunning. One complaint (if you can call it that): I ordered both the Dark Brown and Beeswax colors, because I wasn't sure which I'd like better. They were completely indistinguishable from one another. Not like, close but a little different...they were the EXACT. SAME. COLOR.

Loose fit design
I really wanted to like these boots. On the plus side, the Clarks sole provides excellent support and cushioning and the shoe seems well-made and handsome. On the negative side, the placement of only four eyelets for the laces (top front of foot only) and the looseness in the back of the shoe meant my ankle kept slipping in and out. Not good for walking. Sizing down made no difference.

La suela se rompió en la primera puesta. Parece que los zapatos eran viejos y se guardaron por años en una bodega antes de vender.

The quality is great for the price, and I love the clean, minimalist design. I went one full size down from my sneaker size and this is the perfect fit - no “heel lift” that some other reviewers mentioned. They are comfortable all day in my office job - even when playing lunchtime table tennis. For a maintenance product, I can recommend the Waximum paste from Timberland.

Clarks originali, sempre perfette e bellissime.

I bought the desert boots as a gift for my son. He wears them all the time. He loves them. Thankyou.

Shipping: Very fast delivery, from Hongkong to Singapore. Clarks box was just inside an envelope without any padding, and it still came intact. Experience : I read the reviews here and at others, and many mentioned that these run large, and to buy 1/2 size lower; so, I did from 7.5 to 7. I usually buy Wide, but with my Clarks experience, there is no need for Wide as the leather is usually soft and will expand quickly to fit, sometimes a few hours only. In this case with Bushacre 3, brand-new and with thin socks, 1/2 size smaller than true to size really felt short, a feeling that something is clamping my foot tight, with less wiggle room for my toes and my feet were throbbing and pulsating with blood ! The top of my big toe is also hitting the leather tight, and is not a nice feeling. There was one independent review that I didn't heed, a comparison of Desert Boots 1, 2, Bushacre 2, 3. He did say the Bushacre 3 was tighter than 2, probably due to the 3's Ortholite footbed. I should have bought true to size for Bushacre 3. The Ortholite seem to be good, really thick, squishy soft when pressed by hand. Out in the street, however, I still felt the hard insole after awhile inspite of the thick footbed. This reminds me of the story "The Princess and the Pea", so I guess thickness and softness does not necessarily mean effective. I also couldn't get rid of the tightness I felt even after walking for hours. I inferred that it must be the thick footbed that was making the shoes tight, so I replaced them with a Skechers footbed, thinner by half but really effective, with a better arch, and I no longer felt the hardness underneath it, whether stationary or in motion walking on concrete pavements. With the Skechers footbeds, great, tightness and hardness problem solved ! The shoes now fit well, with a bit of allowance. Now I'm going to put the Clarks footbed into my Timberland leather sneakers which are too large by 1/2. The Skechers footbeds were size 7.5 and they fit perfectly, and they were the same length as the Clarks Ortholite footbed. So I think these Clarks are actually 7.5 shoes, but marked as 7. The shoes are slightly heavy but manageable, it's probably because of the outsoles. I wouldn't use them on really long walks though, unless the added weight is wanted, for exercise. Construction as seen from the outside looks well-made, no issues so far. The Beeswax color looks great to me, like dark-brown greenish. One common complaint is that the heel lifts up while walking. This is especially true when the laces are loosely tied. Tightening the laces well as much as I can without getting to the point of discomfort minimizes by a huge degree the heel lifting up, it's no longer a problem. I also saw another review stating that the leather will eventually mold around the heel and prevent its lifting, after about 5 to 8 days of walking. Anyway, at the moment, no problem at all, just tighten the laces. With tighter lacing, the shoe hugs the ankle area much better too, and not look and feel oversized at the ankle area. So far, after changing the footbeds, no pain points at the most common pain areas - the little toe, bunions, behind the heels, above the ankle bone. That's good, I don't have to use any pads to protect my feet while breaking them in, YMMV. The tongue bites a bit, but I can take it, it should soften up later. Overall, all good, well-made with good quality full-grain or top-grain leather. I did not buy the suede version, so the leather on mine is a pull-up leather, easily scratched, but this will give it a more rugged character in time, a distressed look. Anyway, easily unscratched just by rubbing the area with a finger to give friction (heat). Final thoughts, I'll go against the grain and buy true to size, unless one will change the footbeds like I did. On the other hand, I only weigh 58 kg (128 lbs), maybe heavier people will feel different, wherein the Clarks footbed will be pressed down more. * Update, it's been over a couple of weeks, love these pair of shoes. I changed the shoelaces (kept the original) to waxed ones to match all my other shoes.
