I did not buy this, but the nursing home provided one when my husband's remote disappeared. It was very easy to program, and is easy to use. The control is slightly "bent" downward, which makes it easier to aim it at the TV, rather than at the ceiling. If you need a remote for just the TV, I can definitely recommend this. I would buy a package of these for home, if my husband was coming home, given how often he seems to lose the darn things - these are very economical.

In some of these remotes, when you put the batteries in, they just don’t work. defective or something. Also, the cover to the batteries doesn’t stay on. I do not recommend buying these. I won’t buy these again.
