Great product! Great customer service!
I have purchased 4 of the WingHome Solar Battery Panels over the past year. They are easy to set up and work great with my with my trail cameras. These have an internal battery that is kept charged by the sun. The camera is then powered by the solar panel’s battery. Even in partial shade, via my cellular trail cameras, the battery level never drops below 85%. No more trips to pull camera cards or change batteries. They ran seamlessly through the cold winter months and snowy season. A few months ago, I stopped getting photos on one of the cellular cameras. I decided to switch cameras to see if it was the camera first. Same problem. I then brought the solar battery panel home and tried to recharge it with the AC adapter that comes with it. It would light up the led lights showing it was getting power but it was still not working. I emailed the manufacturer, WingHome and explained the issue and asked if they had any suggestions. I received a reply within a few days. After trying a few other suggestions and emailing some photos and a copy of my Amazon invoice, the company is going to send me a replacement at no cost. That is great customer service! I will continue to purchase more of these as I add more cellular trail cameras.

Disappointed – Worked Great at First, Then Total Failure After 3 Months
***UPDATE*** see updated comments at end of previous review. I am leaving my earlier comments to show how an initial review often leads to a wrong impression... My apologies to the seller for the earlier bad review. I purchased the WingHome Trail Camera Solar Panel a little over 3 months ago, intending to use it as a 12V power source for the rear-view camera on our RV. Out of the box, it worked exactly as expected. It was incredibly convenient to mount the panel near the camera, avoiding the hassle of running 12V wiring through the motorhome. For our first two trips, it performed flawlessly. Unfortunately, on our third trip, the internal battery was completely flat and wouldn't charge—even when exposed to direct sunlight all day. I was able to temporarily revive it using a 12V adapter, but the unit no longer held a charge or supplied reliable power for the duration of the trip. The solar panel itself provided zero usable output at that point. This was a major letdown, especially considering the product had over 1,300 reviews and a solid 4+ star rating. In hindsight, I wish I had paid more attention to the 1-star reviews, particularly the one titled “Do not buy, they die within a couple months.” That turned out to be exactly my experience. For a $60 battery pack, I expected much better quality and reliability. Unfortunately, this was a total bust for me. Bottom line: Not recommended—short-lived and unreliable. Update after further testing: After working with the WingHome Solar Panel for a few more days, I realized my initial review was based on a misunderstanding. The unit itself did not fail. The issue was that the internal battery capacity wasn’t sufficient for my specific setup. Even in bright sunlight, my connected camera would stop operating after about 4–5 hours because the batteries were fully discharged. Once depleted, the solar panel alone couldn’t produce enough current to power the camera and recharge the batteries at the same time. When I disconnected the camera, the solar panel was able to recharge the batteries without issue, and they were again able to run the camera for another 4–5 hours. In other words, the product works as advertised—it just needs more battery storage for my application. I plan to keep this unit and will order an additional solar battery pack with higher capacity to extend runtime.

Works great! Saves going through a ton of batteries! Great Quality!
I installed this solar panel on a trail cellular camera and it has kept my camera at 100% charge for over 2 months. This is with extremely low temperatures. It has been through temps as low as -15 degrees Fahrenheit with windchill below -30 degrees Fahrenheit. After using this one for over a month during these extreme temperatures, I wanted another solar panel for a different trail camera. Unfortunately, I purchased another brand because it was on sale for 50% off. That camera would not charge with the provided charger or the sun. I returned it and purchased another WingHome solar panel. This is my go to solar panel for my next trail camera. It has saved me tons in battery cost. I would recommend this solar panel to anyone. In fact, my friend has purchased two of these as well! I will be purchasing another soon for my other camera. It comes with a great mounting bracket and all the necessary cords to hook it up to about any 6V or 12V device. It also comes with rubber boots for each cable to keep water out of the plugs. Thanks for making a quality product! Keep up the good work!

Works great!
I've got this mounted next to my trail cam on my back fence. Every time I check my camera's batteries it says "100%". So far I'm loving this little panel. I have the GardePro camera, but this panel comes with a bunch of different cables for various cams.

Lightweight but battery runs down if you have a couple cloudy days
Lightweight and easy to set up. Love being able to charge it with a charger cable. Thought it would be better than the extremely heavy 12V batteries, but it ran down when the sun didn't shine for a couple of days. I had to go get it and charge it with the cable.

Excellent panels that I have used for years
I have over the last 5 years purchased 8 of these for use with 12V game cameras. They have been wonderful in the wild temps that we see in northeast Texas. They have been very trouble free which was especially useful when we were living 2 hours away from where the cameras were. I needed them to be reliable and they were. I have had several of the older ones stop charging via solar, which isn't that surprising given how long they had been in service, but all but one will still charge via the DC adaptor, so I continue using them as battery packs. I recently had one stop working after less than 6 months and dealing with customer service was easy and very prompt. They had me run some quick troubleshooting and after they were satisfied that there was an issue, they quickly replaced the panel. The new one is up and working perfectly. I am more than satisfied and I would absolutely recommend them. The price is great, the quality and reliability is great and the customer service was unexpected wonderful.

Solar charging does not provide 12v
Bought this to power some Wi-Fi cameras we have around the property. They are all 12 volt. Therefore this product look like it would fit the bill since it provides both 6 volt and 12 volt jacks. Was impressed when it arrived as the packaging and presentation is first rate. Charged the panel using the AC adapter as recommended. Found the right patch cable, plugged in one of my cameras and we were in business. So far so good. I proceeded to mount the panel and camera up in a tree. Everything worked great. The next day I can't get a feed from the camera. Back up the ladder. The leds indicate a decent charge, but the camera won't power up. Pull everything back down. Plug it back in to the AC adapter until it indicates full charge. Plug in the camera and, bang, its working again. 24 hours later, it's dead. I put a meter on the 12v outlet and find it's only producing 6v. Repeat this cycle a couple of more times to confirm. If you charge it from the AC adapter, you'll get 12v. Solar? 6v. After multiple back and forths with their broken English support, they finally agree to send me another unit. Guess what? It behaves exactly the same way as the first. Very disappointing. Save your knuckles if you need a 12v power source. See the video I attached for the gory details.

Works great with Tactacam UPDATE 7/24
After ten months my camera stopped working. It appeared as though the solar panel battery was almost dead because I only got one light when I pressed the charge indicator button. Now I'm in Georgia and we've had 100°,bright sunny days for at least a month. This solar panel is facing south and should have no issues getting sunlight. Also the battery in the camera is the lithium rechargeable battery pack, which was going dead on me after over two years. So just now I realize that this solar panel does not recharge any batteries except it's own. When the lithium battery pack went dead on my camera, the camera died. It didn't matter how much juice was in the battery pack on the solar panel. I don't know if this is supposed to be the case or not but I bought a new lithium battery pack for the camera and I'm putting the original solar panel back on it. I'm going to take this one down and use it for another camera. My suspicion is, if I put an empty battery tray in this camera, then the camera will have no choice but to use the solar panel battery for power; so the next camera I buy I will not get the battery pack form so I can test this theory. I'm not going to change the review stars yet because possibly I should have known this before I started. I was under the impression that it would use the solar panel for primary power and the lithium battery pack would just be there as a pass through and I was mistaken. Works good so far with my tactacam. The original battery pack was starting to give me issues after two years. I have the SK unit which came with a solar panel and I'm not sure if it just isn't big enough or if it was the battery but I've had to charge it several times over the last few months. This was the same price as a new battery pack so it was a no brainer. Note that Tactacam is a12 volt system. The strap holds it on pretty well. I did not want to put a screw in the tree.

Top !!!

Works! No more constantly changing batteries
Like wildlife cams but they don't half eat through batteries - 8 at a time. Since fitting this I've not needed to change batteries once as it appears to have fully powered the cam since.
