I had been experiencing pretty gnarly stick drift on the vertical axis of one of my Xbox controller joysticks. I did not want to solder on a whole new joystick as the actual mechanical part functioned as it should, so I figured to try the simpler option first to replace the pentiometers. It was such a simple fix for my problems and incredibly easy to take apart the controller. Make sure you have the bits required for your screwdriver and you’ll be set, there’s plenty of YouTube videos to walk through the process if needed!

Worked fine, used to replace the old ones inside ps4 dualshock remote. Helped improve stick drift however didn't fully eliminate the drift as the module itself was wearing on the remove but not because these.

So there's a youtube video out there for a solderless fix on the Xbox controller. Basically you bend out the sensor, pull out the worn disk, and replace it, then bend it back. That won't work with these. The internal disks are a different shape and size. You will have to solder these in. I used to solder stuff for a living a million years ago, and it's pretty easy to do this using a cheapo solder kit with a solder sucker. Anyway, the one I soldered in worked fine, no drift, so that's a bonus.

I bought these to address the stick drift for an Xbox Elite gen 1 controller and they ultimately did not solve my issue. The bag came with the advertised 20, but I’d say at least 5 of the potentiometers did not read 10k resistance across the pins so I trashed those. I soldered several in that weren’t defective but could not get them to fix my drift and in some cases caused the controller’s drift to worsen. After closer examination it appears that these potentiometers are not the same quality that Microsoft uses in their controllers. This is especially the case for “wiper” piece. I noticed it doesn’t fit the joystick as snuggly, which contributed to dead zones in my tests. All in all, after several tries replacing the potentiometers from this kit I abandoned them completely and opted to swap in an OEM donor joystick assembly from another controller which corrected my stick drift. I’d return these potentiometers if I could. Total waste of $10 for me.

these worked flawlessly. after i was done cleaning and tested it, it was like i had a brand new controller.

Size is larger than OEM potentiometer which causes issues fitting it into place. You can trim off some plastic from the base to get it closer, but still quite the annoyance. Took a couple of failed installs to figure out why the snap in arms wouldn't align. Once installed, they do work as good as a new stick.

I bought these to repair an Xbox Series X controller that had stick drift. After replacing the faulty potentiometer, it worked like new. One in the lack that I received was damaged, but even getting 19 for this price was a very good deal.
