I moved across country not long ago, and din't bring my metal bucket style counter compost bin with me. I decided I would get something new. It took a while and we had a glass bowl on the counter and regularly took it out. My hubby does a LOT of cooking, though, and sometimes the bowl would overflow just in the prep of 1 meal. He finally asked if we were ever going to get an actual compost bin again (oh, and he needed that bowl for cooking!). I had this in my saved for later for a while, and ordered it. We've been using it for about 2 months now, and it's great. The ease of the lid is fantastic, the fact that it hangs inside the cabinet and doesn't take up counter space is also amazing, and it holds....a lot. So much so, that if we cut onions when its nearly empty, so they're sitting there just kind of...marinating...it can get ripe far sooner than its full. But that's all good. We really do love it.We don't use the bags, we drop right into the container and wash after each emptying. 1 thing hubby didn't realize when he turned it over the first time...the lid piece isn't attached,and it fell right into the compost pile. It was a quick learning curve, though.This is easy to use, looks great, holds a lot, and is easy to clean. I highly, highly recommend it.

I’m so happy with this bin. It’s my second purchase from this brand. The first one was in good condition for about a year, but due to high humidity in Texas after approximately 10-12 months became moldy in a few spots, so I decided to buy new one (the same). I like taking out the trash every day to keep the home clean, so the size works perfectly for my needs. Fits the door under the sink perfectly, and has springs that close the lid almost automatically, which makes it more comfortable to use.The only one thing you should be aware of is that the glue on the sticky surface of the one of the hanging platforms is toooo strong, and it was hard to remove it once I decided to change the place (I used the hair dryer with the hot temperature, it helped a bit). So this time I decided to use the usual scotch tape above the platform, to not to use the original glue (you could see it on the pictures I shared). Overall it’s a wonderful product!!!

I've been using an old bin for compost for a few months, but it's not the most convenient and takes up a lot of space in my kitchen. I saw this one, with it's ability to hang under the sink or stay on the counter top, and decided to try it out.The package came with the bin, two adhesive hooks, a regular plastic hook, and 20 trash bags for the bin. All of the inclusions are welcome and I made use of all of them (we'll get to that). The bin is a perfect size and fits within the cabinet under my sink. The trash bags were definitely nice to have; keeps the inside of the bin nice and clean. Setup of the bin was quick and easy. And emptying it is also a breeze. While the bin is plastic, it feels pretty sturdy.That said, I do have some gripes. For one, the lid does have two ways of opening, but it does not lock or hold in place when you lift it up, so you'll need to use one hand to hold it open. However, I've found the slide down opening works just fine, so I've been using that. Another thing is that the edges of the lid collect a lot of loose compost. I've had to sweep coffee grounds and food using a paper towel more than once using this. Yeah, that's as much my fault as it is the products, but having so much ledge space between the lid and bin means stuff like this is bound to happen. Lastly, and this is just my house, but the plastic hook wasn't flat enough to go under my sink cabinet without scraping against it. This was a quick fix using the adhesive hooks instead, but it does call into question how long the adhesive will last; especially since the bin can hold ~2 gallons of food waste.Overall, while I do have some issues with this compost bin, I really do like this bin. I will definitely be using this for my compost from now on. Will tentatively recommend this for anyone in the market for one.

This compost bin is exactly what I was looking for! It’s the perfect size for keeping on the countertop without taking up too much space, and the lid does a great job containing odors. I love that it can also be hung inside a cabinet to keep it out of sight while still being easy to access. It’s sturdy, easy to clean, and makes collecting food scraps so much more convenient. The sleek black design looks nice in the kitchen. Overall, it’s a great value and has made composting much easier. Highly recommend!

Works well for my leftover fruit and veggies that I chop up.I have this on the side of my sink it fits perfectly.It's also well made and sturdy

We were collecting compost in a bowl on the counter and had to empty it every evening or it smelled bad and attracted tiny little bugs. Using this bin, there are no odors, no bugs, it will hold about 5 days worth of scraps and waste, and it’s cute! I love it.

I have very little counter space so this is perfect. I love how the lid opens 2 different ways. It seems secure and durable. It come with bags. It a great size not too big but not small.

Smaller than expected and doesn’t have a button or tab to open. Once open there is no handle to remove interior for disposal. Small is fine (I should have measured my under sink space, but the lid & no handle were deal breakers for us.

Very practical and good quality. Easy to install. Perfect for separating waste of time
