Troxel Troxel Dakota Horseback Riding Helmet

Good helmet, nice look and fit.

I couldn’t be more impressed with my Troxel horseback riding helmet! From the moment I put it on, I could feel the superior comfort and fit. It was adjustable to a nice snug fit, and the helmet feels lightweight yet sturdy. The design is playful, and I enjoy the color. I feel secure wearing it. Troxel helmets are known for their safety, and I definitely feel confident that my head is well-protected. Whether I’m out for a leisurely ride or taking on more challenging trails, this helmet is great. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable, and stylish riding helmet. Troxel has earned my trust, and I’ll definitely be sticking with this brand!

So far so good. It IS a plastic helmet, so don't expect anything too fancy. But it has elastic on the part that goes under the back of your skull (not sure what it's called) so it's comfortable. Pay attention to the sizing - these are very specifically fit, and there's not much by way of adjustment. I recommend measuring around the cap of your head - where the edge of this would rest, and going by the sizing chart. I ordered an M for a size 7 1/2, and it fits great. But there's not much leeway. The print on it is understated enough that I don't feel like I'm trying to be flashy. It's a good style for a trail helmet, which is what I want it for.

I just got mine in the Grizzly Brown color. I love it! To be honest, I chose this helmet really because of the long visor. I love wearing a baseball cap to protect my eyes outside and this is close to that in helmet-form. All helmets feel big and awkward to me (my head is pretty small) but this one feels fairly light and looks sharp-not stupid. I’m going to customize it with decal stickers on the sides. The Rebel line has so many nice designs and was my runner up because of that. I also considered Fallon helmets but don’t like her designs that are currently available and of course, there’s not a good visor for sunlight. I wish this line had more design options but it’s ok since I’ll customize it myself. I really like the SUREFit technology as it is easy to adjust and comfortable. Overall happy with purchase.

I love this helmet! I wanted a classic look that would match my brown boots and half chaps. This was perfect. The larger brim was a bonus; the fact that is was called Grizzly Brown (my family jokingly calls me a bear) was the cherry on top. My head measures 22" which works out to a 7. I ordered the M and it fits perfectly. The Surefit was great and I didn't need any adjustments to the padding. I can wear comfortably for hours with no issues. The only thing that needs any adjustment is I need to find a tiny rubber band to keep the extra strap length from dangling. I highly recommend.

The is a decent beginner’s helmet. It’s lightweight and seems durable. The fitting was a little tight, but I managed to adjust it so it wasn’t hurting me. I would have preferred if it had been a dial vice the perfect-fit system. I love the colors though. My instructor wears a Kask helmet, over $600, but this one had good reviews by VA Tech and the price was affordable for an entry level helmet. I don’t plan to do any jumping, so it’s adequate and should protect my head. I like the extended visor and had no issues wearing sunglasses. The helmet has added padding inside that can be removed to wash. Maybe down the road I’ll invest in a more expensive helmet, but this one should suffice and it’s nice that it’s affordable, is decently rated and also attractive.

I don't like taking pictures of myself so maybe someday I'll throw this on somebody else and take their picture but until then I just wanted to say that this is the most comfortable helmet I've worn so far. It might be just because it's such a exact fit and I got lucky but even though I've tried a few of the non-click adjustable helmets in the past, just like with hats, I rarely found anything that fits and feels comfortable. This is a problem when going on extended rides and wearing a helmet. Most of the time I either had to choose between possibly getting a headache from the helmet or not going for a long ride. This is worked out better than I expected, it seems like great quality and I expected to last a long time, and I'll buy another one if I need to!

Product was faded and patchy, has random speckles through it, not in a Troxel box, looks like seconds or damages goods, says made in china not USA (like my genuine helmet) not adjustable on the back I own genuine Troxel helmets and This seems like a fake
