Susan Bates hooks are great. They are especially good for working with yarns that tend to split.

So happy to find these. I dislike plastic hooks and wooden ones aren't the best with certain yarns. I also don't like "ergonomic" handles. Great quality, doesn't snag yarn, won't break from pulling too hard, the weight is comforting in my hand. Maybe not the best for those with arthritis or other issues. I don't have any issues (I'm in my 70s). I'm slowly acquiring a second set of all the sizes Susan Bates makes in the Silvalume line. I sometimes "lose" a hook, so 2 sets will keep me crocheting until the lost one reappears.

I love Susan Bates crochet hooks! I wanted these sizes for scarves,blankets. They are great hooks for your money, they are big, easy to hang on too, I like that they are different colors as all of Susan bates are.

Wanted to upgrade my crochet hooks to a tapered and more pointy shape, did so thanks to a Christmas gift card lol Was using inline bamboo hooks, but i left like they dragged & i wasn't going as fast as i had with a previous hooks. Great quality, good hand feel, doesn't feel too light or too heavy. Speed is way up, love how the aluminum glides through all kinds of yarn, pointed head is great to get into the stitches fast and easy

I’ve purchased lots of sets of crochet hooks and they usually turn out to be cheap, with places that aren’t smooth and even stick out enough to snag yarn. I liked that these are longer than the others I have purchased and have made my crocheting move along much faster. The shape is also excellent and there’s that nice luttke slot that holds on to the yarn as you pull it through. No worries about the yarn coming out before you get it through your loop. Very happy with this purchase!

I am very happy with the Susan Bates crochet hooks I purchased. I am working on a prayer shawl & I had been using a plastic hook I purchased years ago. Since I haven’t crocheted in awhile, I thought I was the problem getting the stitches right, but I came to realize it may be the hook. So I ordered this set & have been very happy with the L hook I need. It’s heavier than the plastic hook, but you get used to that pretty quickly. Importantly, it slides oh so nice thru the yarn. A vast improvement. And it fits nice & compactly with my B thru K hooks in a traveling toothbrush case which doesn’t take up much space in my needlework bag.

I love this brand of crochet hooks, they are wider and I find them easier to use. No snagging either.
