High School DxD, Vol. 1 - manga

Issei, a high school boy, thinks his first date with the hot Yuuma is ending with a hot kiss in a dark park. He's eager for it. Instead, black wings sprout from her back as she apologizes before ramming as spear into his chest. As his life spills from him, he wishes to die in the arms of a beautiful babe. He wakes up the next day in bed very much alive, confused. Weirder, no one seems to remember Yuuma at his school. Not sure what is going on, he continues about his day. Once again, at night, he's accosted by a man who sprouts black wings and a spear. Stabbed again, he can't believe he's about to die. Until Rias, one of the hottest girls at his school, appears and defends him. Once again, he wakes up in bed. Only this time, he's naked and hugged tight by the equally nude Rias. Issei is plunged into a world of angels and demons. No longer human, he's going to have to learn the rules in order to survive. High School DxD is a fun manga. It's got some sexy bits, some great heart, humor, interesting characters, and balls-crazy action. When things kick off in this series, it goes for broke. It's an interesting story, with characters in conflict with each other. The art's great. If you're looking for a good manga to read with a supernatural bent, then you should try out High School DxD

Great Manga, love this series, the story more similar to the light novel than the anime, why does Amazon only sell the first and the 9th volume of this series tho. They have it in different languages and they have all the light novels but only two English mangas.

Arrived in time, not in the little bit damaged and with a very good "plot"

Devils can be mysterious, charming and surprisingly beautiful. We follow Issei Hyoudou, a totally perverted hound-dog, who’s transferred to an all female-turned- co-ed academy in order to find his own gaggle of hot girls. He goes out with a suspicious girl and his date with fate become a nightmare when he’s attacked by a fallen angel but saved by a beautiful red-haired beauty who makes him a pawn in her group of devils and also learns what’s it like to be one too. While Issei isn’t really a likeable protagonist for now, the manga’s take on the world of devils is certainly it’s good side while it’s ecchi-centric theme will also get your attention. <b>A- (91%/Excellent)</b>

Old review changed! New review: Just what my friend wanted. He wants me to buy him the mangas instead of light novels of the others in the series Now I have to find those since the others listed on Amz are the light novels, NOT the Manga.

Absolutely adore this series. It easily beats out everything else for number one. It’s an echi harem story with an incredibly deep and interesting plot that also doesn’t hold back on the fan service (although the anime is much more generous. Head to Funimation for the full experience). The light novel unfortunately has yet to be translated, and the manga currently stop at 11. But don’t let that deter you from an incredible read.

Poor Issei, all he wanted to do was have a good date with his first girlfriend, but that all ends when she sprouts wings and stabs him with a spear of light. As he dies he calls out for someone to help him, where he wakes up in his bed with a naked red-head. She is Reisa Grimory, the hottest girl in shool and she advises him that she is not only a devil - but also his master. Now this new devil is going to be shown the ropes, and with the rest of the Occult Research club, learns that being a devil is not so bad - provided he can get the pacts he needs. The beginning the the series is underway, it pretty much followed the anime with little change. As on the cover it states mature content, it came sealed and in perfect condition. I will be reading the rest of this series and waiting for the next installment (as well as season two of DxD the anime series).

Great art style. Well translated

Tal y como sabemos en España, por desgracia, no hay muchas compañías interesadas en financiar este tipo de producto más encaminado a un público de culto. La calidad de impresión es buena y el interior correcto. El idioma está en Inglés pero merece la pena. Saludos a los fans de DxD!
