John ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well once you understand how to fix popping *by P***D on June 7, 2022* After looking at a lot of different options for getting surround sound in our open living room, I finally stumbled upon wireless speaker kits. I first looked at the Rocketfish kit that BestBuy sells, but due to the greater power output and banana-plug compatible speaker terminals, I decided to spring for this one. First things first, set up was nice and painless. Plugged all my wires in, connected the power bricks, and they paired almost immediately. Secondly, I had seen from some reviews that at high input volumes it might start popping, so I turned the unit's volume knob to about 75% and ran my receiver's auto calibration step. However, despite generally very solid sound quality and power output, I still noticed the occasional pop, and then last week we watched Interstellar and in some scenes it became unbearable, even when I set the rear speaker levels to the minimum level allowed by my receiver. After a lot of changing things up and adjusting one variable at a time, I had a theory that the power cables for the unit itself were causing interference. The power cables provided are quite long (which I suppose is better than not having long enough cables), but I had placed the unit right next to a floor outlet, so I kept them bound by the twist ties they shipped in to keep things tidy. Long story short, I took off the twist ties and spread the power cables out just a bit, and so far I haven't had any more troubles with popping. So overall, I'm now quite happy, but I wish the power cables were better shielded, or maybe came with a shorter cable as an option. But now that that's been resolved, they're just about perfect. I also bought a second receiver unit directly from their website, so when we have people over we can rearrange the rear speakers on either sides of the room.
