The spring ended up being twice as long as needed. Otherwise it was well made.

Replace spring on my rocker perfectly.

Fit the camper folding couch very well but I did have to open the ends a little to get them to hook.

I have used Handyman springs for all of my random projects the last few years because that is what is stocked in my local hardware store. I'm currently refurbishing a pull-out couch that requires 42 of these SP 9617's, far more than what the local store had in stock. I matched the size I needed at the store and bought what they had and ordered the remaining from Amazon. Each spring that came from amazon was completely unusable. They were packaged in the correct 9617 package, but none of them should have passed Handyman's typical quality check. For this spring, the hooks are supposed to go in the same direction, what arrived to me were a bunch of springs that had hooks at every possible angle but straight, so none could be used in the project. Had to return them all and now am buying 2 packages twice a week when they restock at the hardware store until completed.
