I wired these directly into my bathroom light with the correct plugs and transformer supplied so can turn the light up while shaving and dim down while in a hot bath listening to music, so very convenient and costs next to nothing to run. Also have these same lights around my living room ceiling and have the dimmer switch by my chair to turn down while watching TV, again when turned up full, there is plenty of white light in the room to read and write, very good for the environment and saves on electricity. Tried some other LED lights in the living room but had to take them down as the remote signal from my TV also activated the lights, very frustrating, so hoped to take down those lights and use them in another room, no way hosay, they were stuck so well, they just broke apart, so £70 lights went in the bin. If you bye lights with remote, plug them in and turn them on first and use any remote in that room to see if there is and conflict with the remote signals, could save you money having to take them down. The only disadvantage with the lights l have now is the dimmer switch must stay by the plug so l can’t move my chair to another part of the living room, which is why l hoped for a remote system.

**Q: What is the total length from plug to start of LED strip (incl dimmer switch)?**
A: 150 cms

**Q: Do you sell the connectors to go with this item?**
A: Be careful as this tape is 10mm wide hence normal 2 pin connectors DONT fit as they are 8mm.

**Q: Will the light dim of it is controlled by an external LED dimmer?**
A: As the dimmer control is a separate wired external unit which plugs into the power unit I would suspect no, unless you have an existing unit which will allow the dimmer control to plug into. If you are a technically minded person, which I’m not, you may be able to rewrite to the unit you are considering unit, not that I would advise as that would render your guarantee useless if it didn’t work.

**Q: Is the remote control ir or rf?**
A: Mine had a dimmer switch attached.

These are great, I've used them along the stairs for the winter and they're really bright which is what I needed. The only downside is it comes with silly sticky tabs which are useless so I've used double sided sticky tape.
