Hardwood Floor Reviver, High Gloss, Clear, 1 Quart

I have original hardwood floor in my 100+ year old house. When I first bought the house, they were in good condition and I should have had hem refinished before I moved in. But with dogs, a job etc, I just never did it and now he potential mess involved plus finding a place for the dogs while the floors are redone, keeps me from actually doing what needs to be done. That being said, I am very picky and clean in my home habits and while the floors always looked good, they just didn't have the pop that I like to see in hardwood floors. I have tried other floor revivers(Holloway House)and he results were good for about 2 days (3 dogs--2 very large). I had all but given up and resigned myself to having to finally get the floors done professionally, until I found this product. I did a thorough cleaning with the MinWax hardwood floor cleaner (the best wood floor claner I have found-http://www.amazon.com/Minwax-62127-32-Ounce-Hardwood-Cleaner/dp/B000VZP61C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358103699&sr=8-1&keywords=minwax+floor+cleaner), vacuumed really good and then went over it once again to be sure no stray dog hairs or dust were around. Put this stuff down and Wow!!! You would never know that my floors have never been done professionally. I found that the first coat took about 20-30 minutes to lightly walk on it so I did another coat. Same time frame. The results have lasted about 3-4 weeks so far. Just redid them with only one coat as the high traffic area was starting to look dull. Old Floors (real hardwood)? Then you will love this stuff. It also seems to protect the floor from getting scratched by dog claws..which is def a big plus for me. This is not a scrach filler but your floors will look amazing. Glad I found this product.

Highly recommend this product. I tore up an old carpet and discovered pretty beaten up hardwood floor underneath. It was so rough I couldn’t run a swiffer over it. Bought this product and it was really easy to apply. Pour some onto the wood in an “S” shape, spread with a painters laid, leave for 24hrs and voila! Beautiful re-finished look. Now my floors are smooth and clean looking.

Great finish, dries to walk on within 24 hrs. Think it said shorter time on bottle, but I left and gave it 24 hrs. These floors were in pretty rough condition in a 1920s house we flipped. We just swept and cleaned very good prior to application and they turned out absolutely beautiful. I applied with a microfiber cloth and a swiffer sweeper handle. Anxious to use on current house we're working on.

Great for touching up hard wood floors.

Tried this on a floor in order to buy some time before having to refinish the surface. It took two coats to get a nice glossy finish. Very easy to apply but I had a bit of trouble getting an even coat. It is very easy to see where it was applied too thin. Cost about 50 dollars to do two coats when refinishing a floor cost us about 100 dollars (my husband did all the work). It worked great a quick spruce up product but not very cost effective when compared to refinishing the floor. I am curious to see how this product wears over time. After moving just a few furniture items on this floor there are substantial scratches. Would highly recommend for a quick fix but not great for long term wear.

This is a pic of the area after dry and done. This is the main entrance slider from the deck and pool. I used swifter sweeper with dry dust pads to apply but will use a paint pad next time.It was pretty dull and worn. I cleaned first with some mopping cleaner and then magic eraser to get the black off then scrubbed the whole area with magic eraser to get off any other dirt or film. It looks almost like new. If it wears off in 3 or 6 months I will just do it again. So far so great. Update - did another section, the sweeper with the clothpads worked better than the paint pad. Will update if any wear or other problems as it ages.

I live in a nearly hundred year old home, where the floors have been carpeted over and scratched excessively. Despite frequent sweeping and cleaning, they were always very dull and the finish looked as if it was chipping away. I did this in two coats with a 2-hour drying time between. It is easy to apply an even coat, especially by hand. It is tacky for about the first hour and you can lightly walk on your hardwood by the end of the second. However, it does take 24 hours, per Minwax, to harden completely. After the window of 24 hours, my boxer walked- and jumped- on the hardwood and there isn't and indents or scratching. It makes the floors feel much smoother, and while they do have a new coat of poly from the reviver, they don't seem too slippery or like they have build-up. It is crucial to thoroughly sweep and wash your hardwood prior to, otherwise you risk cementing a bunch of dust on your floors, which is pretty gross. This is a permanent solution that isn't removable, but can be reapplied every 3-6 months, so you have a nice window of protection. All in all, it is a efficient, affordable product that is a nice alternative to refinishing your floors.

Not as good as advertised. No help with scratched wood.

Ill have to upload a photo sometime of the before and after of our 10 year old hardwood floors. This restorer is unreal to make your floors look next to new. Our family is hard on the floors and our son well, he drops everything which this won't help. But the day-2-day wear and tear dulls the floors and this stuff is...magic! I do recommend that you clean it with a power cleaner PRIOR to using this and the results will be awesome!

If you want an *actual* gloss that lasts, this is your stuff. Be sure to put it on as advised- any little drops left will turn into 'rain drops' that are pretty difficult to get out. I use this on my low shine bamboo floor; it shines up beautifully.
