Smell isn’t great
I like this product a lot, although it does smell like literal spit😂 idk how else to explain it.. so I use this one at night, and the ordinary azealic acid during the day lol. But yeah it’s a good product, doesn’t cause my face to itch like the ordinary does sometimes.. and my hyperpigmentation is genuinely getting better

Helped Acne and Redness
I'm writing this review after I ran out and I have noticed that my redness was gone and had less acne during use. I feel this is effective and lightweight on my skin. My only criticism is the heavy plastic packaging. I haven't tossed it yet I feel too bad. I don't like that.

Best Azelaic Acid Serum that Works
I have very dry very acne prone skin. This is my third time buying The Azelaic acid serum- I absolutely adore it. It's been recommended by multiple dermatologists and cosmetic chemists that I've seen online for rec azelaic acids. Not oily or too thick, not water like either. It layers so well with other serums and under makeup to reduce and prevent breakouts. Previously my Makeup would give me closedComadones especially on my neck and forehead, but with this layered underneath there's been a drastic reduction in acne and CCs from makeup throughout the day. I'm able to use it with my Tretinoin without any issues- I do my hydrating serum's, let them dry for about 20 minutes, then apply the serum, wait 15 minutes to apply my moisturizer, then another 20 minutes before I put my tretinoin on last. Each layer needs to dry a bit so that the Azelaic acid isn't made too strong by the liquid layers before or after it (same with the Tret). Including photo of how it looks when applied

Pregnancy Skincare Routine
I am pregnant and really feel like this product has been keeping my skin congestion at bay. This is a newer product in my routine. I was a consistent tretinoin user prior to pregnancy and I have had trouble finding an affordable alternative to help keep my skin clear. This is my first experience using a product with azelaic acid and I am pleasantly surprised. I will say that I do feel like this dries my skin out ever so slightly. And that is after following it with vanicream which is a very rich moisturizer. I notice that I wake up with my skin feeling parched and that is usually not the case when I follow my serums with vanicream. It’s not significant enough to make me stop using by any means. I just started adding in a few drops of oil to boost hydration and this has helped. This is good stuff. If you feel like your skin has tried it all and you’re in a rut, give this a shot! Other reviews have complained about this being sticky but, if you’re no stranger to having a multistep skincare routine, I don’t think it will bother you. The benefits are worth it!

Excellent for sensitive skin
I tried this after my dermatologist recommended it. I have extremely sensitive combination skin and live in a very dry climate, and this doesn’t irritate it at all. In combo with using vanicream cleanser and moisturizer as well as a niacinamide serum this has helped greatly reduce irritation and dryness, as well as improve breakouts and skin texture. It’s not the cheapest stuff around but for the advantages and how long the bottle lasts the price is very reasonable. I don’t feel guilty buying it as I can see a difference when I do and don’t use it, and each bottle has lasted me multiple months.

Didn't work for me
Update June 2025: I came across several sources online that state this specific Naturium product uses a derivative of azelaic acid called potassium azeloyl diglycinate. This form has not been studied for efficacy nearly as much as normal azelaic acid. If you are not noticing benefits, it may be because this product uses a derivative, and not plain azelaic acid. This feels incredibly misleading because I believed azelaic acid just didn't work for me, but I am now wondering if it's because they use a poorly-studied version. I am going to find a product with the typical form and see if it works. I bought this months ago and have been trying it on my skin until recently. For context, I developed some mild redness on my cheeks and nose early this year that I suspected was rosacea - my dermatologist confirmed this a fee weeks ago. I read that while 15% was the usual go-to strength, 10% may be enough. I bought this after trying to find something that had good reviews but was also a reasonable price. I have combination skin, use cold cream and a mild foaming cleanser daily. I use tretinoin most nights. I'm 30 years old, so I don't have much texture or lines, but I do have slightly large pores that I think are genetic. This product did not work for me unfortunately. I used it consistently and as directed with no improvement in my redness or my normal skin areas. The product itself is nice to use. It sinks into the skin, doesn't pill up, and has a barely noticeable scent. I think this could be worth a try for people with mild, non-rosacea redness or skin texture problems. My skin just needs something else. I don't really have room for an active that's not working for me in my routine, so I will not be repurchasing.

Very good azaleic acid product
I struggle with mild rosacea now & then. This product is great for it. Azelaic acid is a mild exfoliant/antiinflammatory so it helps keep the rosacea bumps & redness in check. It can be a little drying (not a lot), so I wash my face, apply it, then apply a moisturizer. Skin stays clear and soft.

I'm going to be completely honest
Honestly, I didn't WANT to like this. Being very involved in the skincare community I'd always loved Susan Yara but was really upset with everything I'd heard about how she handled this brand. But I have really dry skin with some crappy rosacea that's very noticeable. 2 ingredients always helped, vitamin C and azelaic acid. I'd tried The Ordinary azelaic acid and I hated the texture of it. It was thicker serum like a lotion and it would pill up really badly. Couldn't layer it under makeup or with other skincare. I'd tried the Paula's Choice one but it was a cream and has salicylic acid in it which was nice around my nose but not on my dry cheeks. I found a random brand on Amazon but it had WAY too much hyaluronic acid in it which breaks me out. So finally tried this. And I LOVE it. It is formulated with vitamin c in it so I don't have to worry about messing up anything efficacy by mixing or layering myself. It's thin actually like a serum. Completely non-greasy, soaks into skin, doesn't sit on it. Has a high level of azelaic acid. It has niacinamide in it too! So one other less thing I need to worry about mixing in myself. For my skin these 3 ingredients have always been amazing and this serum has been the best way to deliver them together in an easy convenient way. This isn't super expensive, the glass (yay! Recyclable!) bottle is really nice, it's Amazon prime so if you run out it can get to you in 1 or 2 days. The ingredients are simple and its not fragrances. It's literally everything I was looking for. I feel badly now for being so negative towards this brand and Susan in particular. The more I look into the products and formulations it's pretty clear that the aim is to actually bring good products to market. I'm so so so glad I tried this. It's now a staple in my routine and that's saying A LOT. I have literally 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom filled with skincare. I hardly ever purchase new or repurchase things because I have so much. But this is absolutely never leaving my routine. I'm so so so happy with this. I've seen results with azelaic acid and vitamin c and niacinimide, and I've seen quite obvious differences with this serum. Its so many steps in 1 for me and layers beautifully with other skincare and under makeup. I will 10000% be purchasing more from the brand and I hope everything else makes me as happy as this little bottle has. If you have rosacea PLEASE try this and give it some time to work. It's changed my skin so much for the better and I hope the best for everyone else on their skincare journey.
