It attaches with velcro and though it comes with a thing to wrap around your speedlight's head, I'd recommend sticking some onto your flash instead to keep the softbox from slipping off. Alternatively you can put the square translucent diffuser on the speedlight which helps to stop slipping. It's quite large for such a thing - 40cm (about a foot and a third) in diameter and really makes a nice light.
