Koplow Games Crown and Anchor Dice Game

We used to play these on submarines. More fun than backgammon when you are bored out of your mind for months on end. Also fits in your pocket quite well.

The dice came marked as pictured so I wouldn't call it a "scam", but it doesn't come where you can actually play. I expected to at least have papers with the symbols on them in the tube to put on the table as the board. That would cost the company a couple cents to print and the other variations of the same game like Hoo Hey How manage to send out playable sets for the same price point. Quality wise, I did find the dice to be pretty light weight and slightly unbalanced... but mostly returning them because it's only half a game.

The game is probably a little obscure inside the U.S., but it's as fun as most any dice game whether you're playing for money or enjoyment only. This set of dice is pretty good. The C and A dice are maybe just a tad on the lightweight side, but it's not really an issue with how well they roll...just a personal preference. The bonus "Blackjack" dice are a great addition to the set and they are of good weight. Everything comes as shown in the picture from the seller and turnaround on shipping is impressively fast! You'll need to purchase or fashion your own mat for placing bets or play chips or whatever else you're using to create stakes for the dice rolls. And the price is quite reasonable.

I volunteer at various historic sites in Florida, primarily concerned with 18th century life among the soldiers, sailors and settlers of the 14th Colony. I had made myself an 18th century style "Crown and Anchor" game board but needed the dice to complete the set. These are just the thing. Thanks!

Very nice looking and they rolled comfortably

The dice were fine, but I was under the impression a playing mat and instructions would come with it. I'd heard about the game on a British mystery show (Foyle's War), and thought I'd like to learn to play. Now I have the dice, but no idea how to use them.

I will not recommend anybody to buy this product it is scam
