Any reason why better to spray oil on then rub with a basting brush? I can buy an oil sprayer & use other oil like avocado?

The spray is just canola oil, you can use that or abocado if you want, in my opinion uou should only get this kit if you want the brush and scraoer to clean your cast iron, spray is unnecessary.

So what is the 5th piece in this set?

I believe they’re referring to the instruction booklet as the fifth piece. They shouldn’t have really.counted that but the rest is good.
