Best Product I've tried so far
About me: I've grown my beard out for the first time ever. As it has gotten longer, I've had to adapt in how I care for it. I have a little bit of a medical background and the circles I run in fear beards like the plague due to poor information put out about how uncleanliness, unprofessional, dirty, etc they are... most of which I disagree... I recently read a medical study that clean shaven men actually harbor more threatening bacteria (e.g. Mrsa) than our bearded brethren... it's because the micro abrasions in the skin, warmer, temperatures, etc. allow these bacteria to feed is the theory. Anyhow, back on to reviewing the product. The product matters because looking presentable matters. So the main brands I've been using for about a period of 6 months are: Grave Before Shave, Viking Revolution, and now the Honest Amish regular (not Heavy Duty). I've been using Grave Before Shave the longest as the fragrances have been interesting and the product fairly consistent. The brand logos/art for different fragrances is pretty neat/entertaining too. The hold has been decent overall, but it seems as I go throughout the day it only lasts for a few hours or so before the fly aways kick in and it has a subtly oily residue. Overall, a solid product. Viking Revolution is the first beard balm I began with. I didn't know any better at the time but it made the thinner parts of my beard greasy, stringy/thin, and oily looking. I wasn't sure what was causing all of this, but time and experience have helped me in learning to style a beard that is a few inches from my chest now... I'll probably throw this product away. I don't like it touching my beard. The regular version of the Honest Amish beard balm just didn't hold well and the fragrance was nothing interesting (it's ok, just doesn't stand out much). I'm not much interested in the fragrances anymore, but more so a product that just works and gets me through the day. This version of balm is more like a moisturizer than something to keep flyaway hairs in place. The Honest Amish Heavy Duty Beard Balm is now my default go-to. It does not have much of a greasy feel in moderation, gives my beard a moisturized matte-appearance , and is very easy to get out of the container and apply... texture of a smooth-sticking paste. I'll be using my grave before shave for daily use (running around), but the Honest Amish will be my default go to for a product I know works well and I'm confident in for work and dressing up on occasion. The fragrance is subtle and subsides within the hour. I like this enough that I'm going to order a 4oz container after just receiving my 2oz container within the week. I don't want to risk not having any how this stuff on hand/beard.

Happy Face - 1.5"-2" thick beard
I ordered Heavy Duty Beard Balm and the Leave-in Conditioner (all natural). My beard is nearing two inches right now, so it had a nice poof to it. I began using the Balm/Conditioner a month ago. Overall, these two products work great. You just need to experiment a little with how and when you apply them and determine which product is right for you. As a side note, I generally have dry skin in the winter, therefore my face itched and my beard became brittle and at times a little bit itchy. Application: I prefer the Heavy Duty Balm. I am washing my beard ever 2-3 days and adding the balm daily. I will use a little bit at a time (enough to cover my finger tip) then rub two fingers together until the balm is liquid. Then I apply the balm to individual areas of my beard, to make sure it is evenly disbursed. I do scratch and dig into my beard a little bit prior to application just to separate hairs. This seems to help my face from itching less. Time between uses: I use the balms 1-2 times a day. The Heavy Duty in the morning (after my beard has sufficiently dried after a shower) and the Leave-in Conditioner in the evening or immediately before bed. I may use a little more here and there if my face feels dry. (weather dependent) Vs. The Heavy Duty gives my beard a little bit more structure and is not as oily as the Leave-In Conditioner. Maybe I am using too much of the leave-in, but from different approaches to how and when I apply each balm, for all day use, the heavy duty does the trick. The leave in is definitely good on my skin. I hate lotion, so I don't like the feeling it leaves on my hands if I touch it at all through the day. Smell: The smell is there. It is good. If you don't like things that have a smell, then don't use this. If you like smelling good, use this. (the smell has the girlfriend's stamp of approval)

Excellent product
I like this balm. I was previously using Cremo balm. It didn't seem to do much for taming frizz or conditioning, despite having a far firmer and more waxy feel. The Honest Amish is buttery so you can scoop a little out of the tin with your fingertip and rub it on your palms for a few seconds and it melts to a nice consistency. it applies nice and evenly through a damp, or even dry beard. Finish with a brush or comb and I'm looking good. My beard is softer in just a week and has fewer flyaways. The scent is so subtle that it might as well not even be there. My only complaint is that it can leave an ever-so slightly greasy feel if you're not careful. I know that's the case with most balms but it seems to do so a little more than the Cremo did. A small price to pay for all the other benefits. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. I may experiment with other brands later, but for now I'm very pleased with this.

Go to beard balm
Amazing whether beard short and trimmed or long. Helps with the feeling of dry skin and helps keep my beard tame and manageable. Fragrance is mild and pleasant. Been using it for years and will continue to do so.

Heavy duty conditioner. Honest Amish will step your game up
Ok..here the low down. Took me a couple of days to get the hang of using this product. Off the bat, super super conditioner. Makes beard super soft but can be greasy if you over use. Requires less application than most beard balms. The smell is different but it is smells amazing. The smell does not linger and goes away rather quickly. adds great shine, conditions like a champ, the hold is moderate. This is more a conditioning balm than a sculpting balm. but they use amazing ingredients. yay got castor oil in it!!!! lol. tried so many beard companies and Honest Amish is my favorite. Gonna stick with thier brand. beard on brothers. Tried several more companies and it always back to the Honest Amish. Other companies change you 20 bucks for a balm that is just argan , maybe jojobia, bees wax and Shea. The honest Amish ingredients are top notch for beard conditioning, growth, and health and low cost. One of the biggest mistake I see with beardsmen that can never find a perfect balm is their over washing. If ur over washing your you will always battle strays. Products should be a addition to your beard regime and assist your natural sebum.I know their addictive and smell great. If your not always stripping your natural oils ; you won't have to apply tons of product. Even at my beards longest. (Touching my collar bone). Half a thumb nail of balm in the morning before work; at night cold water rinse and 3 drops of their classic beard oil soil was all I needed.

Great product
Great hold and doesn’t have crazy oily feeling. The smell of very pleasant and the hold lasts all day. It also comes out easily with shampoo and conditioner. So far the container has lasted a little over a month and I I use it 5 days a week

It works, non-greasy… but the fragrance is inconsistent
I really like the quality of the beard balm. Easy to apply and, generally, like the non-greasy feel of my beard afterwards. I would note that, with the latest tin I’ve bought, the fragrance was definitely not the same as before. It’s a bit “stale” or “spoiled” aroma and is a bit off-putting. With the previous tins, they had a pleasant rustic aroma. Perhaps just a fluke with this latest tin.

Best Beard Product
Honestly this is probably all you need for your beard, keeps it soft and hydrated but not too soft and not dry + tames all the stray hairs and lets you shape it the way you want. The smell is very subtle but nice ive gotten compliments on it
