Porcini mushroom dried 1st QUALITY packaged in Italy - 300g/0,66lb/10,58oz

Love these funghi So delicious and excellent quality. When I was a youngster, my dad used to take me mushrooming and showed me what to look for. Excellent experience. Disabled now so can’t go anymore. Really miss it. Good to find a quality product as a substitute.

Slightly cheaper than I've been able to find elsewhere and good quality: large pieces. Packaging is a bit more fancy than required for a simple foodstuff, but that's OK. However worth knowing that the dried shitake mushrooms I got from my local Chinese deli have a very similar umami hit (much better than the dried oyster mushrooms you can get at a similar price) and are about a quarter of the price per 100g compared with porcini, so it's worth thinking about unless you're emphatic you only want porcini.

Fantastic mushrooms, tried with risotto and pasta they came out perfect. Good flavor, just soak them for 30 minutes in warm water and they are ready to be cooked.

This is a great product, I’ve bought before. Really tasty and good shape with no dust. However, on this occasion the use by date was within 4 months of purchase. Which in a family setting to use 300g of dried porcini mushrooms is impractical. -should be at least 6mths. Last purchase use by date was over a year- so keep your eye on dates
