Coffee tastes so much better
I just love the taste of raw sugar in coffee, it simply adds a new dimension to the taste of coffee if you are sued to drinking it sweet. Many people I know prefer the taste of only raw sugar in coffee and the white one in tea. I use raw sugar for both. On the whole, I prefer the taste of this sugar over anything else. A 6 pound bag at Amazon is only 16.39, i.e. 2.39 a pound and this is a decent price but it is not great. The nutritional benefits are trivial ....According to the USDA National Nutrient Database, 1 teaspoon of granulated white table sugar provides 16 calories and contains only trace amounts of calcium, iron, potassium, sodium, zinc and riboflavin. The same quantity of Sugar in the Raw contains 18 calories and slightly higher, though still trivial, levels of nutrients: 1 milligram of calcium, 0.02 milligram of iron, 1 milligram of potassium and nearly undetectable amounts of magnesium, phosphorus, sodium and zinc. I think the benefits of raw sugar lie in the fact that it is minimally processed versus white sugar because the processing adds a lot of chemicals. This pack somehow does not clump that much, a common concern with raw sugar.

RAW Sugar - Better Health!
RAW Sugar is much better than whit can sugar, because it is in its "raw" state, i.e., no preservatives or chemicals, such as Sulfur Dioxide, which is used for bleaching reasons are added, then phosphoric acid, which is used in rust removal (OMG, lol), and calcium hydroxide, which is used in mortar, plaster, sewage treatment, brake pads, pesticides, then it is thusly filtered via a bed of carbon, crystallized several times in a vacuum, and inevitably, left out to dry; jutxaposed to RAW Sugar, which is made via the Sugar cane, pressed and mixed with lime juice/liquid, which is then reduced through natural evaporation; this is followed by spinning the crystals in a centrifuge to separate them, then lastly, it is left out to dry. Plus, RAW Sugar tastes a lot better as well; it does not make one jittery either, as does the chemical-laden aforesaid alternate.

Great product, lots of packaging though.
A quality product that I received much faster than promised (3 days early) for a great price, but extremely over packed. It came in a box the size of a case of bottled beer, with enough brown paper inside to wrap a refrigerator. You could put at least 5 bags of sugar in a box so big. A much smaller box and much less paper would been less wasteful and just as safe for the bag of sugar.

Makes me feel better about using sugar...
Although I am a diabetic, I refuse to use artificial sweeteners. Because I usually only use sugar for 1 cup of herbal tea in the morning, and only 1 tsp., I still use sugar. However, I know it is refined and processed. If you don't care about that kind of thing, that's fine. I just have so many health issues going on, and such a limited food budget, that I'm trying to eat as healthy as I can, where I can. So I decided to go with the raw sugar. This same brand, for much less, was more expensive in my local super market. So I bought it here. It is granular, like sugar...maybe the grains are a bit larger...and are a light brown in color....looks a bit like brown sugar...but tastes exactly like the regular sugar I was eating before. So I love the product! While this will last me for quite some time because I use so little,I will certainly be buying more from here when the time does come! :)

I've had better tasting turbinado
I've had better tasting turbinado, still for the price it's quite good. A bit pale, a bit less of the molasses, etc. you expect from smaller brands. Still, if you're seeking vegan sugar (no bone char processing) or aren't interested in that next 30% jump in price per lb, it's good.

Raw Sugar, Bulk Size
My husband uses this in his coffee...he's always stealing my baking sugar and then when I want to use it, it's gone. So I bought him two six pound bags for his coffee and he's LOVING it. He really prefers the taste of the raw sugar to white in his morning joe. (I don't drink coffee, so I don't really get it myself.) Convenient to have it shipped when I'm ordering other stuff (I have Amazon Prime, so pretty much everything I buy is from Amazon these days) because I can never find bags this size in the grocery store.

Sprinkled on baked goods for a topping
Turbinado Sugar tastes great in my morning coffee but lately I've been sprinkling it on top of baked goods like a peach crisp or an apricot clafouti or a blueberry coffeecake. The sugar doesn't melt into the batter as it bakes so it yields a soft sugary finishing crunch. I've been using this brand of turbinado sugar for several years and the product has always been consistently good.

Need to find someone who sells a bigger bag
We recently switched from regular sugar to brown sugar and our biggest issue has been finding a place that sells big bags. Sam's Club and Costco's don't have it either. We bought our first one from Wally world and then found this one. Price wise this is a bit cheaper, but like I said..it would be great if we could buy a bigger bag somewhere. We switched to this for a health perspective, but of course, it's hard to quantify the impact of just this change. Anyways, at least we are heading in the right direction!
