Worked just as expected and did a great job of mulching my leaves. I would point out the installation with the deflectors still installed is neigh on impossible. After watching several YouTube videos touting easy installation with the deflectors installed, they cut from easy install to installed. I finally decided to remove the deflectors and had the mulch cover installed within 2 minutes. But, the effort was well worth it since the cover does exactly what it claims to do.

Mulch cover worked well and fit great

This works great and very easy to install.

The good: * Fits JD x304 42” deck * straps work to apply * 10 min install total. (With adding the zip ties to bottom edge/deck). * deck frame iron bent on my deck but this cover still worked with this ... * Is about a 75% mulch of the actual leaves (Better then hauling leaves or burning for sure but not like bagging lawn). * Very little escapes the discharge so when lots of leaves some will fly towards front of deck area. Oh well back up and then drive over them again. Kinda fun! * Planning on leaving it year round with mulch blades * My opinion works as expected and good option for the money. My lawn bagger is now going to collect dust. * Have used for one full fall leaf season and still in good condition for next year use! The bad: (Why not 5 star item???) * Need to secure cover bottom portion better to the deck. Here is the quick fix that lasts. Drill about three holes about 2” above the bottom of this cover along the bottom edge- say about 3-4” apart. Then simply use heavier zip ties to secure the cover directly to the bottom rail of deck-nice and snug now. It won’t move around now and no worries of leaves sneaking by the edges...

This for me mower perfectly and does a great job. For the price does a nice job of mulching the grass. And it was genuine John Deere item, even can in a JD box.

Fits perfectly, took 30 seconds to put it on. I wish all my purchases were like this one.

Eventually got it on and looks nice, had extreme problems getting tab on the left to slide in on my deck. Had to use screwdriver to manipulate in place. Also quite hard to get cover to fit over the top portion of the newer green deck. John Deere needs to redesign the mulch cover for their upgraded green decks. It is good the covers don’t have to come off to wash the inside deck as it would be too difficult to keep putting it on and off.

Came on time, fit is a little loose, however, it does the job well. I screwed the back did down tight to keep the top down tight. Thus only 4stars. One screw is a minor adjustment however it should fit tight on its own.

Like other reviews... works well but needs a couple holes drilled and zip ties so it actually seals

Mower (with brand new blades!) leaves streaks of uncut grass. Only tried it once. Took it off and put white back on and it cut perfect. Terrible product with brutal return policy. It costs more to return than I paid for it. The product doesn't work and now I'm stuck with it.
