I have tried plenty of mascaras with oversized brushes, curved brushes, rubber combs and every other applicator design imaginable, but this slim metal wand is one of the best I have used. It looks unusual at first, yet it gives me far more control than a traditional fluffy mascara brush. I can get right to the base of my lashes, separate them properly and build length and volume without depositing a giant clump of product all at once. The metal applicator has very fine ridges that comb through the lashes rather than simply coating the outside of them. That makes it especially good for reaching shorter lashes near the inner and outer corners. I can also use the tip vertically to define individual lashes. The result is lifted, separated and noticeably more dramatic without looking like several lashes have been glued together. It takes a little experimentation the first time because the wand holds and distributes product differently from a standard brush, but once I figured out the best angle, I loved it. The formula explains why this wears so well. Isododecane is the first ingredient, which is a lightweight, fast-evaporating solvent commonly used in long-wearing eye and lip products. It helps the mascara spread smoothly and then set without remaining wet or heavy. Polyethylene and microcrystalline wax provide body, structure and grip, helping the formula build volume and hold the lashes in place. There are also several serious film-forming ingredients, including isobutyl methacrylate/bis-hydroxypropyl dimethicone acrylate copolymer and acrylates/polytrimethylsiloxymethacrylate copolymer. These form a flexible coating around the lashes once the mascara dries. That is a major reason it resists smudging, flaking and transferring so well. The black pigment comes from iron oxides, while the silicone-based ingredients help the product glide evenly and keep the finish from feeling overly dry or brittle. The formula includes some conditioning extras such as hydrolyzed silk, seaweed extracts and caprylic/capric triglyceride. There is also hydrolyzed swiftlet nest extract, although I view ingredients like that as supporting additions rather than the reason to buy a mascara. The real strength of this product is the combination of the precise metal applicator and the highly tenacious film-forming base. Once this sets, it stays on for an extremely long time. It handles a full day without giving me raccoon eyes, and I do not end up with little black flakes under my eyes. The tradeoff is that this is not a mascara that disappears with a quick splash of water. I need a cleansing oil or a dedicated eye makeup remover and give it time to dissolve before gently wiping it away. Trying to scrub it off with a regular face cleanser would be unnecessarily rough on the lashes and delicate eye area. This may not be the best option for someone who wants an effortless wash-off mascara or who dislikes using an oil-based remover. The metal wand may also feel unfamiliar to anyone who prefers a large, plush brush and instant volume in one swipe. For someone who wants precision, separation, lasting lift and wear that truly does not quit, though, this is outstanding. The applicator is not a gimmick—it genuinely changes how well I can coat and define my lashes.

Admittedly I was skeptical of this mascara. My primary reason in trying was its claims to add length, volume and curl. Length: most definitely! Apply slowly and your lashes will definitely appear quite long. Volume: not sure I would say this product gives more than any other traditional mascara but I do like the natural look it provides. Curl: THE reason I will continue to use. I have naturally long lashes however they stick straight out. I do have to curl them several times prior to applying mascara. And, when I apply, they usually fall flat and straight again due to the mascara being wet. This is different in all the right ways for me. It’s light, only slightly wet. It’s the first mascara that doesn’t uncurl my lashes after applying. Other reviews mention it’s difficult to remove. I have yet to take the mascara off but did purchase the brands remover in the same order and will use when ready to remove.

Love this mascara and it's metal "brush". I tried it on a day that I was home with nothing to do and it literally lasted ALL day long. No flaking . No smudging even after I rubbed it a bunch of times because I forgot I was wearing it ! The brush is lovely . It applies the product beautifully and easily. I was impressed . My 61 year old lashes looked full , long and clump free. All day . My only complaint is that it was a pain to remove. I used micellar water then makeup wipes , vaseline and finally soap to remove the residue that the vaseline left behind. That won't stop me from using the product because I really liked and was very impressed with the outcome. I just wish it was easier to remove. As for the price, while on the high side it is competitive with other high end cosmetics ie; Lancome, Chanel , etc. But this product , I believe should last longer than other mascaras because you only need a little product to get great results. The mascara comes out sparingly on the wand but covers lushly. You don't have to keep going back for more product. Other mascaras that I have used, I have had to wipe the wand off before using because the wand was loaded with too much product. Therefore, I was wasting product in my opinion . Not the case with this. So far it is a win for me. Just a pain to remove

i was very excited to get this and try it out, it goes on like a dream, looks natural. coats lashes and makes them darker defined and longer, but, i have spent the whole day trying to remove it. i used soap and water and 3 different eye makeup removers and it has now turned into a tar like substance on my lashes. my eyes are so red and irritated from trying to get this off. i will be returning it . i gave it one star because i had to and i like the metal wand, not the mascara

The mascara is alright. I actually just bought it to see how the wand would be like compared to the others out there. I think the wand is cool and helps to get the mascara on and separates the lashes nicely, is you roll the wind as you’re applying it. However the mascara is waterproof and long lasting, so try to avoid getting it on your eyelid, if that’s not the look you’re trying to go for, because it will be tough to remove.

The first time I tried this mascara, I didn’t like it and was confused on the technique. I gave it another try a day later and played around with it and then boom! I’m in love! It delivers a beautiful, smooth, opaque black coating to the lashes. They’re not kidding when they say you need to layer it but that’s part of the beauty. This is also incredibly versatile for me: I usually use this for my lower lashes as I have semi permanent lashes applied and two coats of this mascara matches beautifully! If I’m doing my top and bottom lashes I usually put three coats on the top and two to three for the bottom. I love the “brush”, it’s unique and has its perks. The outer corners of the lower lashes are a bit difficult to get but with some maneuvering, it’s doable and worth the extra two seconds. The application is just so smooth and I think that’s the best part! 5/5

I have tried probably 50+ mascaras... all of them flake for me after several hours. This mascara does not flake!!! After 12 hours it is still on and not flaking in my eyes or in my face. The first coat goes on very easily and gives great definition. Not much volume but I don't like the clumpy bulky look anyway. The second coat adds length and a bit of volume. It's a bit hard to get off but that's great in my opinion... it won't run all over your face. I don't usually write to many reviews but I thought this was worth it since there are others out there looking for a flake free mascara.... and all mascara brands say that they don't... but they do! This one doesn't and I love it... I can be done searching for the perfect mascara!

I didn’t really like anything about this product to be honest. Even the metal wand was nothing revolutionary to me. I used it probably 3 times and have decided it’s not for me. Really hard to remove without ripping out your lashes, clumpier than regular Great Lash, the wand does not separate each lash as well as people say, and feels super dry and brittle. This may be a good product for someone else but not for me.

Ich schließe mich dem Rest hier an, die Mascara ist schwerer abzubekommen was sie allerdings in ihrer Leistung nicht einschränkt. Die Wimpern verkleben durch die „etwas andere“ Technologie nicht, ist also alles so wie beschrieben. Sie wird aufgebraucht, löst meine Lieblingsmascara dennoch nicht ab.

This was an interesting product and it does manage to work to apply the mascara despite not having bristles however once the product is on there is not really anyway to separate lashes so they become clumpy very quickly. If you have naturally long lashes and just want to put on a quick coat of mascara you might like this.
