Perfect for food storage
Nice sturdy jars easy to sterilise and perfect for food storage. I love hot chillis and grow a lot during the summer, one of the best ways I’ve found to store them is chop them up and leave to soak in a white vinegar/salt brine for 24 hours. Then pop them in the Bormioli Rocco glass jars and cover them in virgin olive oil. The airtight lid on these jars keeps the contents safe and the oil and chillis heat perfect. I also make a lot of chilli tomato chutney and find these jars are the perfect size and robustness for that too.

Great Jars
I use religiously for jam, chutney and passata and they have never let me down. Replacement lids can be ordered separately as they do tarnish over time but they are extremely effective when boil sealing, keeping everything preserved for months

Flawed batch?
Why did you choose this product over others?: Ordered these a few months ago. Used them to store my home made pesto. Three of these jars have now failed in the last 3 weeks as I’ve opened the lid the glass has shattered. The last time I cut my hand quite badly. I’ve not treated them any differently to other jars such as Kilner. I washed in warm soap water and dried out in a low temperature oven. Maybe I got a flawed batch. Won’t buy again. Will stick to Kilner

Impossible to get replace them lids
These look pretty but aren’t robust. One jar tipped over in a water bath and broke. I can’t find anywhere for replacement lids.
