Continental Grand Prix 5000 Bike Tire - 2 Pack

Among the best road tires I've used, but don't expect them to last more than one season. If I get 2000 miles out of these, then I'm very pleased. They seem to ride well between 80-95psi. I use TPU tubes, which also helps with a smooth, confident ride. Buy Conti's 4 season tires if you want a longer lasting tread.

These are my “go-to” tires for all of my bikes. I recently acquired a bike with wheels that have a 25mm inner width so I decided to install 32c tires. These tires have a well deserved reputation as being difficult to install. This time they slipped right on to the wheels, no need for soap or tire levers. Your results may vary. Once on, these tires have good ride comfort and excellent performance. They have excellent traction, good puncture resistance, and are long lasting.

Great on wear, rolling resistance, and traction. Decent puncture resistance. Often priced less than the competition, which is the group of premium road tires.

Nice quality tires. A little expensive but they are nice. They are lighter which makes them not as puncture resistant but fast rolling

No hesitation rating these tires 5 stars. No hesitation at all. Tried and true. These are the best I have ever used. Have been using these tires and the previous version for many years and highly recommend them . They are durable and they roll like a dream. One of those products you buy without any reservations. I have ridden thousands of miles so I have used them without disappointment for many years. I am using these tires with TPU tubes and they make a fantastic combination. I am old school. I use 25mm tire and TPU tubes on my Tarmac SL8 and run them at 100 psi. A combination I will take any day over tubeless. Quickness and durability. I can tell you that I have never had a puncture with these tires and only need to replace them because I eventually wore them out. But only after many miles. Use them for performance and use them for durability they work for both applications . Buy them and ride them. Truly a great product.

Brand new, in the box! I have been riding Continental Tires for several years. I rode on Grand Prix 4000’s until they were discontinued for the 5000’s. You can get Gatorskins, which will last longer and are cheaper but this by far the best riding tire I have found. Best ride and last a decent amount of time. Pick the tire which fits your budget and expectations. Keep the rubber side down.

I bought these to replace a set of worn Mavics. These were a bit difficult to get on the first time, leaving them to heat up in the sun helped make them a bit easier to get on the rims. First short ride at 100psi was smooth, noticeably less resistance than my Mavics. The ability to raise my cadence from 90 to 100 on level ground was shocking. They are quiet and sticky on dry roads. Once the light rain started i got a little nervous having never ridden Conti's. I will say on blacktop they did well, no sliding or grip loss. A 90 degree turn on concrete wasn't as good,. The back tire slipped about a foot at 10 mph while i was seated. The Mavics are rain tires, and were more stable than these BUT these are faster tires. I guess it's pick your poison. It will be interesting to try these on a hot road this week when the temp is 90+ degrees and sunny. Overall, good first 25 miles ride with no real complaints. Like everything else, there is a slight learning curve when you change your setup!

I would never buy another brand of Cycling tire. I put new Continental 5000 tires on my Trek Domaine last spring and they are still looking good after over 6000 Kms.

Expensive But good quality

The listing makes it looks like this is for a pair - two tyres in the picture, states in two other places that this is for two tyres (but does say elsewhere it is for one). I ordered two pairs of tyres (one put to fit, one to keep as spares) but two individual tyres arrived. Amazon we’re very good and have a 50% refund, so I have ended up with a pair at an extremely good price so ultimately am happy but other purchasers should be aware.

Ma 1ère commande contenait des pneus usagés, mais après un remboursement le 2e envoie étaient bien des neufs. Très bon pneu à très bon prix.
