Does anyone know the difference between this one and the $289 model?

As said above, this one has a pilot arc. It is worth the extra hundred. I bought the lower priced one, and it is a major pain to try to figure out how to strike an arc in different situations. Rather than rig things up so it will strike with the circle cutter and a straight line cutter, I decided to abandon the lower priced model and make it easier and better on myself. I mean, how many hours would I work extra to make the lower priced one work vs. paying the $100?

Does this come with a 110 plug?

The one I received did not. It was a 220 plug. No option for 110 plug at that time. I bought the adaptor.

Does anyone know the Drag Shield Diameter?

1 1/8" o.d. is what mine measures.

what size breaker for 120 volts?

I initially ran off of a 15A breaker but this unit performed better when I installed a 30A/220V circuit.
