NVIDIA Shield Remote; Voice Search, Motion-Activated, Backlit Buttons, Customizable Menu Buttons, and IR Blaster to Control Your TV (930-13700-2500-100)

When I received this remote. I was going to wait a couple of months before I wrote a review because it has lighted buttons, And I figured that I would be lucky to get two weeks use out of the batteries so I installed a couple of Eneloop rechargeables just in case. Well, it's now been over 5 months and the battery indicator on the Shield TV box still says that they have over 60% charge left in them. Wow! the last 3 remotes that I had would only go a max. of 2 months on a charge, some less. I've tried other remotes and sent them all back because they were junk but this one is REAL quality! The buttons are lighted and have a solid but silent feel to them and the remote is RF so it will work in any position. Con's: The Netflix button does get in the way at times but... If you load the "Button Mapper" app from the Google Play store you can reprogram this button as well as others to do better things (or nothing at all). I reprogrammed the menu button so that a long click will mute the sound (This remote does not have a dedicated mute button). So now it's all good and is my favorite remote of all time. I thought the triangular shape might be a problem but it is not, just roll it on it's side for the other person to share it. Also, to change the batteries, all you have to do is press your fingernail in the release button on the top rear and slide the remote about 1/4 of an inch to release the battery cover. It's a little stiff at first but easily opens after that.

I was unsure whether to get this remote or a knock off at half the price. I'm so glad I got this. 1. it's a huge improvement over the original slim remote. Fits better in the hand, doesn't get lost in the cushions, uses regular AAA batteries. And it adds so many new buttons! Power off, volume control, pause, etc which are very useful. 2. Retains the Bluetooth functionality for connecting to shield. That way the shield doesn't need to be visible or in line of sight. 3. Adds IR connectivity to control the volume on my sound bar. I had to configure this through the shield settings and it worked great. Just had to choose the brand for my sound bar and it worked. Now I just use one remote. I got rid of my old shield remote as well as my TV remote and this is so much better! Just a note, there was a noticeable button-press lag in the beginning when I first paired the remote, but in under 10 minutes it was working fine. Not sure why that happened, but I've never that problem since.

I have an original Nvidia shield with the older style flat remote that has served me well. After the most recent battery change in the remote, i've had a lot of issues getting the system to wake. I did everything I could to try to remedy it and it just hasn't worked right since. After doing research and keeping my eyes on it for awhile, I finally took the leap and upgraded to this remote. Night and day difference in operation. It works flawlessly and now thanks to this remote having an IR blaster, I only need to use one remote for my setup. The backlit buttons are also a nice bonus.

Big difference in quality from this and third party garbage that costs $10 less. Connected immediately to my Nvidia Shield and works. Nice heavy quality build. This just looks and feels high quality. Strangely enough the remote that came with my shield years ago magically healed itself 4 days after it quit and the day this remote was due to be delivered. Am keeping this one just in case and so I don't spend another 4 days using my phone app to control my TV and shield while waiting on Amazon to deliver my order. You know when you place an order and are given a delivery date.? Yeah, don't believe it. Amazon is just making that up and does a bait and switch on when it shows up.

I bought this remote to replace the original remote for my 2017 Nvidia Shield TV Pro. The added features of Pause/Play and Quick Menu buttons are alone worth the cost. The fact that it uses AAA batteries instead of CR2032 batteries is a big plus also. The triangular shape of the remote actually feels pretty good in the hand and makes one handed use fairly easy. There are settings in the Shield itself to change the backlight brightness and function, along with the duration. These settings make it easy to customize for your preference, and I particularly like that I can set it to light up when I pick it up. The remote feels high quality and is fast to respond to button presses. My biggest complaint is the dedicated Netflix button. Not only is it rare that I want Netflix as my first source option, but I find myself occasionally hitting the button accidentally, requiring me to login to Netflix and then go through the process of scrolling to the Exit option. I may have to take the remote apart and disable the switch mechanically as I find this extremely annoying.

This replacement worked perfectly with my Shield after I broke my original remote. I was relieved to get this one delivered within 24 hours — great turnaround — and it paired without any issues right out of the box. It feels solid and functions exactly like the OEM remote should. Definitely a good choice if you need a quick, reliable replacement and don’t want to risk a funky aftermarket brand. Glad I went with this one instead of a cheaper unknown alternative.

It's the best of the choices I've tried for the Shield. The original remote had terrible volume control and was too slim and small so it was easy to lose. $10 ones I've tried have more features such as an on-screen cursor and better buttons in that they are easy to tell apart in the dark. This remote is bigger than the original which is a good thing. Haven't lost it between the cushions as a result. I like that the buttons have a back light as well. And the buttons all have a nice feel. And best of all it actually works without phantom double presses and missed presses as I experienced with the $10 remotes. On the negative side, the button layout is disappointing. Hard to know what's volume and what's the back button by feel. The buttons aren't separated by function and most are the same size - so you need to look down at the remote to find the button you want. And I certainly don't need a big ad for Netflix permanently on my remote. What if I prefer Disney+ or Prime? What if I have more than one service other than just Netflix? The buttons are just dumb. Not as dumb as the Apple remote, but geez, this had every opportunity to have been great after all these years of people complaining about their previous remotes. Sigh. And the shape is ridiculous. Does not feel good in the end to have the edge of a triangle digging into your palm. What were they thinking? But hey, it's the best remote for the Shield. Just wish microphone on the Firestick remotes would work with the shield - those are the best remotes out there for Android TV. So if you have a Shield - I'd go with this one. And grin and bear it.

Gayet muntazam, şahane ve orijinal ürün. Amazona teşekkürler...

Bough it for a Shield Pro and the remote works perfectly well. Seems to be an original Nvidia product.
