Review: Good ESP32-CAM kit... - Works as expected. The camera's image quality is not the best, but worth the price paid. The FTDI was fine. Connect the ESP32-CAM's digital pin 0 (labeled IO0 on the board, two pins away from 3.3V) to ground to put the board into programming mode. FTDI's VCC to ESP's 5v, GND to GND, RX to UOT, TX to UOR. After flashing, remove the digital pin 0 -> ground and reset.

(update) The replacement package arrived the second day after a replacement request is made. The two boards and two cameras works. The initial 3-star rating was upgraded to 4-star.

**Q: Is this camera flashed already,,, and ready to use?**
A: Yes. It comes with a flash ready led on the lower right corner of the board. There is example software that contains lines of "flashing" this led.

**Q: This does come with both the esp32 board and the camera? i'm a noob. details are much appreciated.**
A: Yes, hardware is included.  "Will it work?" is a different question and answer.

**Q: what is the difference between the $17 version and $15 version?**
A: I think it's whether they include the ftdi adapter or not but it's a moot point because the boards are junk.

Works as expected. The camera's image quality is not the best, but worth the price paid. The FTDI was fine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great

These work great and there is a lot of support for them. They are a bit of a power hog and you need a good power supply to support them. The FT232RL USB to serial boards will power them to program them but don’t have enough power to operate them with WiFi on and the SD on. There is a programmer for them that works well. I used one to make a video recorder that fits on a model train car. Works very well.
