This curry mix is lick-the-bowl delicious! I tossed cauliflower with the mix, olive oil, lemon zest & juice, turmeric, red chili flakes, and a dusting of salt and roasted it at 400 for 20 min. Sooo yummy & comforting. Look forward to using it for other dishes. Highly recommend!

I like this basic, Indian style curry powder for most all of my Indian cooking. I transfer it to a ball jar, though, because it takes a while for me to go through so much curry powder. It's a very good value and has a genuine but mild flavor, with good depth. Now there is no one curry powder that is going to be complete, because they are all different. This one is mild, bright (yellow), skewed toward the more lightweight, colorful side (and I swear I detect a touch of hing). You can use a lot of it without the flavor overpowering the food, which I find is a plus, because it adds a lot of color without being overwhelming. Just remember, if you're new to Indian cooking, that this curry powder, like all curry powders, needs to be cooked to be digested. I cook it for a few minutes at least, on its own or with red pepper powder and other things, in part of the pan, in butter+olive oil, until it starts to brown, then mix in liquid and other things. Not cooking your curry powder and/or red pepper powder, is a sure way to get the kind of indigestible stuff you find at cheap Indian restaurants, food which should be served with a Pepcid pill. While you could make a basic curry using only this, I always add garlic, onion, ginger, hot pepper powder, and some other kinds of spices (like Rani garam masala or even fresh curry leaves). Curry powder was invented for the English and traditional Indian cooking uses the elemental spices, which is such a pain that I can't imagine anyone ever doing it, unless they like to cook all day, which is not in the cards for me.

All I can say is yummy! Very balanced blend of ingredients makes this an awesome curry powder. No salt or heat spice makes it extremely versatile for multiple different recipes. Will highly recommend this product! Definitely will buy it again.

much better than any brand I have ever had..so much more flavor.. different than the regular stuff we have had since childhood..I will be a repeat customer for sure! I thinnk it is very fresh compared to store bought and has a really great color..good value for the money for sure!

Good tasting curry, I will buy a stronger blend next time. I bought the mild to make sure it wouldn't be too spicy. I used it again yesterday but added cumin for more taste. Would buy again, but medium strength.

This curry powder is very, very mild. That why I bought it. I wanted my baked chicken to have some spice speckles baked into, and more interesting flavor, without the heat . It does exactly that. It gives some mild curry flavor without heat. It's not traditional curry flavor either. The flavors are more complex. It doesn't have all that turmeric. If you like intense curry flavor take a pass on this one. This one does not make traditional deep yellow curries. Even if using a lot it still would have mild flavor and it won't be that deep yellow color. This spice blend is not yellow. In your cooked foods there will be specks of the spice. It's brownish tan in color. This makes food more flavorful and that flavor is excellent. I made some delicious rice with chicken, onion, red bell pepper, garlic, scrambled eggs, and this blend. I think this will taste good on beef, pork, fish. vegetables, as well as the chicken. I'm also going to season my flour with this when I fry chicken and fish. It has no salt and can be used liberally for seasoning. I like having the big container. It is fresh. I'm going to Physical Therapy and the PT recommended eating all these different spices. He said they have benefits for my body. I hope so. I ordered the Garam Marsala, too.....haven't tried that one yet. I love to cook and I enjoy these flavors.

I used it a few times and it really gives a wonderful spicy flavour (not too hot) I do add some chillies when my guest like it very hot (then I need to use quite a bit of yogurt) when i use only this blend it is fantastic one of the best I have found, as good as making your own mix. Would recommend.

The thing I love most is it doesn't overpoweringly taste like cumin. Cumin isn't my favourite spice at all. It's too much like caraway and I reeeeeally don't like caraway. I've made a lot of recipes for curry over the years and this curry powder is in the top 3 of 10. Even a bespoke curry powder wasn't great. Good job!
