SuperBreak Daypack/Super Break Daypack, (Black)

I’ve had this backpack for about 15 years and it’s been with me everywhere - from the underground catacombs of France to the remote vastness of Patagonia. This backpack somehow became part of my most memorable trips and when I see it, I remember all the places we’ve been. It’s lightweight and has held up over the years as far as color and laundry washing. I would recommend Jansport to anyone.

This backpack has room to carry lots of books and binders for an 8th grader. We especially like the padded back and straps. We shopped a long time to look at the myriad colors and designs. What we received matches what was shown in the picture. The colors and designs are very pretty. When we shop locally, someone else at the school usually shows up with the same backpack. Going through Amazon, with the many different choices, means we have a unique backpack this year! (I don't have to hear, "Mom, a sixth grader has the same one as mine!" You may scoff, but these things are important.) We saved a few dollars, too, which is very cool because we never before wanted to spend the money on the JanSport name brand. Doing it this way made it feel affordable. Now that we have the brand, we can see the difference in the quality. With free shipping it was delivered before the promise date (hurrah for Amazon Prime). There's something fun about receiving and opening a box -- a nice little reward for my straight A student.

This is a Jansport so of course quality and durability aren't even a problem. This is the cutest Jansport bag I've ever had (and I've had QUITE a few). What you see is exactly what you get. Cute purple and white argyle pattern, the back of the pack is a solid purple (maybe more of a plum color). The zippers are silver metal with purple flaps connected for easy zipper use. Straps adjust very well so the pack can fit very snug or very loose depending on how you'd like it. The small outside pocket has a built in open pocket inside for various items and also has two small slots made for pens or pencils. Overall great buy and of course the lifetime warranty is included with the Jansport bag. Great for college students. I used this same line of Jansport packs (in a different pattern) for the first 3 years of college with no problems.

Let's face it, kids are HARD on stuff. Every fall we buy new backpacks for them, and by halloween the formerly pristine and sturdy looking bags look like they have been stuffed into the food disposer in the sink, crammed through a shredder, drowned in a muddy lake, and been run over by a medium sized tank. I am the mother of 5 kids - I have purchased this backpack, in different colors, for each of my children before they have started kindergarten. I have taken them to a local embroidery shop and had their first names written on the outer pocket - so that they don't get lost in the shuffle of 500 kids, some with the same bags. My oldest has been using the same bag for 5 years, and it is still perfect. Each year, the week before school starts, I throw them all in the washer, on cold and gentle, with mild detergent, then I hang them to dry - and they look like new! I am so glad that I haven't wasted money on crappy kids' backpacks that fall apart and look horrible in 6 months. I have an adult friend who got one of these in kindergarten, and used it for ALL 13 years he was in school, then went on to use it through 4 years of college, and is STILL using the SAME bag now, and he is 30. These things are workhorses, worth their weight in gold.

I ordered this backpack in Viking Red which is like a dark red and I am in love with the color! I have always used a Jansport backpack for school and they are perfect! But last year I decided I wanted to try something new so I bought a Herschel backpack. Unfortunately, with the load of classes I was taking, the Herschel I bought was too small. But when I compare the material of the Herschel to the Jansport, the Jansport seemed so cheap. I thought maybe it was a fake one, I am still not sure, I even tried comparing it to my brothers used Jansport. My sister says I just need to break it in. This backpack though has that classic Jansport look and I love it. Has always fit all the books I need and can hold the weight. I can't wait to break it in this fall semester. My only complaint is that I wish they would make the material thicker and more durable like the Herschel backpack. (Jansport seems like its made with one layer and the Herschel is made with 5 layers). Overall, I am happy with the color, hoping its not fake, this is my first time getting a Jansport backpack from Amazon. I usually buy mine in stores. (Tilly's)

I really like this bag! It is practical without being dull. The print it lovely and the size is great for uni. I previously brought the Jansport Wasabi, but found this to be too big for my needs (I'm only 5'4). The super break, however, is just right. A little basic inside, so if you do like lots of pockets and compartments, it probably isn't for you, but if you want a simple bag which looks great, this is ideal!!

I really like these rucksacks. I am semi-retired and somewhat arthritic, but enjoy walking and holidays abroad; I find these comfortable to wear, lightweight and waterproof. I have a grey one which is beginning to look a bit dishevelled, and a newer "Blue Streak Frontier Plaid" one which seems a more practical and long-lasting colour scheme.

Girlfriend loves this bag, using it for a long time now.

I purchased this backpack 2 years ago and its still alive thankfully. It hasn't broke nor have the straps came off. I take it to school everyday and pack it with lots of stuff, so I would say that its really strong. A lot of people have complemented me on this backpack, purley because of the great colour of it (light blue). Nobody has got it in my school, nor have I seen anyone wearing it so thats a bonus too. Its just a really great buy and totally worth the money since I havent had to buy a bag in the last two years!
