Unsure of the answer, but will say I have not had a mouse in 2-3 years. So, leaning more to yes. Give it a try.

Does it prevent any kind of snakes bothering my Bluebirds houses?

Don't know. I've sprinkled two of these containers at the base of my planters and all around my home and so far so good, maybe it could be too soon to tell because we are in spring time now, I'll keep posting if any changes. I'm dealing with rattle and gofer snakes they came down last summer due to the country fires in the area. Hope this helps.
