Blue Sea Systems Common Bus Bar, 10-Gang, 150A

I bought this to use for my VoSwitch 8-Gang Panel install in my truck. I ran an 8awg wire to the negative bus bar to ground it from my battery, and mounted it on top of the fuse box. Solid built, the cover stays in place, and I have no complaints. Price is great over these random crappy other alternatives. Would recommend and would buy again!

This worked great for my needs. I used it to add emergency equipment to a vehicle. I was able to screw it into the side of the car under the hood. I ran my power leads to this from the battery and then used the connectors to feed power to my relays. The screws are all very solid and it mounted well. The cover on top made me feel better about having those positive terminals exposed. I have no complains about this whatsoever!

I installed new electronics in our boat and wanted them to be powered by dedicated switches. I used two bus bars, one for + and one for - to supply the switches. Worked out beautifully.

I recently used 2 of these as I worked on installing a custom stereo system in my pontoon boat. The whole system has been designed to run off one dedicated deep cycle battery. One bar was used for as a 12V source, and the other as ground. I used Anchor brand 8 gauge wire to hook from each of these direct to the battery, and used a variety of wire sizes (10 AWG, 12 AWG, and 16 AWG) to supply power to a Kenwood marine head unit, JBL 4 channel marine amp, and JBL 200W 10" sub. It was easy to keep all the wiring neat and tidy (I'm a perfectionist), so I was happy about that. after I assembled everything, with marine grade wire, crimp on connectors, and solder all around, the resistance measured through 9 feet of 8 AWG wire, the bus bar, and the longest piece of wire I had connected to the bar was 0.1 Ohms or less. Construction seems very sturdy The covers are a nice touch, although there aren't too much more than a deterrent for rouge wires to accidentally touch the wrong bus bar - I had no clearance issues with 8 AWG wire (using ring terminals) I will post a picture of my configuration shortly. Buy with confidence! I will follow up at some point to comment on how well this product stands up to extended exposure to a salt water environment.

Just received the Blue Sea Systems Buss Bar P/N 2300 via UPS. I'm sure it will work fine for my purpose which is a single point ground buss for my HAM radio shack. I gave it 4 stars because the writeup is misleading on the size of the unit. The specifications indicate the unit is 8.9 inches long when in fact it is 6 inches long. Almost 3 inches is a big discrepancy. I was toying with buying a plain copper buss bar and drilling and tapping holes my self. But I went with the Blue Sea Systems because it is more professional looking and less work. I may need more attachment points though. Jeff

I’m building a solar controller board and needed a negative bus strip to attach all of my negative return wires. I saw this one and probably decided quickly to make the purchase before I realized how big this thing is. Go back and take a close look at the dimension specs and you’ll see what I mean. This thing is huge. But that is a good thing because it’s rated up to 150 amps. I do not regret my purchase. In my solar power application I could be working with up to 30 amps and this strip can easily handle that. Most of my wires are 14 gauge, but some are 10 gauge and I know whichever way I end up wiring my board this item will not disappoint. If you’re wondering how I’ve routed my positive wires I have used an automotive fuse block (sold on Amazon) to route and protect each circuit with plugin style blade fuses. Hope this helps with your project. I recommend this Bus Bar.

Solid copper, tin plated to resist corrosion. Very robust metal construction, not flimsy in any way, shape or form. Plastic cover fits securely on end posts to cover terminals from damage. This is a ground bus bar. Do not confuse with a positive bus bar, although in the correct installation, it could serve as a positive distribution terminal. All screw terminals on this, which allows the most secure installation using crimp or soldered on ring wire terminals. All very professional, just like my 12 volt electric installations. This is intended for marine use, and it shows. I am using this item as a negative bus bar in my truck under the hood, where I now have a large number of ring terminal ground wires bolted to the radiator cross member support. I will then attach a 4 or 8 gauge wire to one end post, and on the other post will be another of the same gauge wire going to the frame, and from there to the engine block. I like having solid ground connections The attachments to frame and engine block will be sprayed with electrical control cleaner or tuner cleaner, to maintain a good, corrosion free ground connection.
