Child Paul Revere Costume

Our son had a book report/show and tell type scenario covering Paul Revere for elementary school. Instead of us spending hours/days trying to make our own tricorn hat and costume we found this costume for a reasonable price. The whole costume could be fit in a child's backpack and put on without adult help. And it actually doesn't look cheap...it actually looks great once you get it on. So glad we went with this!

It’s a great costume but don’t buy saved with used! Saved with used said it was like new with minimal signs of wear, consistent with only being tried on and not used so I bought it to save a little money since my son would only be wearing this once for his school project. Well it arrived and it was very much used with white stuff all over it and other spots all over the jacket and vest. The packaging even had an Amazon sticker that it was inspected. It was probably only inspected to make sure all the pieces were there cause it was used. I would also say the size is on the smaller side of the sizing. Get a size bigger if your kid is on the bigger side of the sizing they have listed. Thought the costume itself was great but took off a star for Amazon not really inspecting their used product, would take off more but that’s not really fair for the product itself.

I ordered this for my third grader for his living history project and will also use it for colonial day at his elementary school next year. He was Thomas Jefferson for his living history day and wore this while giving a speech. My son is 9 years old, 4 1/2 feet tall, and about 60 pounds. The size 8 to 10 fits nicely and it’s easy for him to get it on and off. I would buy this again.

This was a needed costume for a school event and it was perfect! The fit was perfect, lightweight; nothing fancy but if you want something that looks authentic for purposes of show, this was it!

This worked PERFECT as a pirate costume for my daughter in a play!! She is a size 14/XL girls size with a tall/thin build. The knickers and coat fit perfect. The hat fits really anyone as it's a stretchy material. The shoe "buckles" are cute and are just material with elastic on them and can fit even over an adult boot (boots made it more pirate-y). The buttons on the blue coat are just screen print but look realistic on stage and does not detract from the overall look ("real" ones could be sewn on). Side Note: for a "pirate" look, we just turned around the hat and added a "skull/cross bones" cut out to it with Velcro. This costume could be used in a versatile way.

This is extremely thin and would be full of runs and rips very quickly. The buttons and button holes are screen printed on the jacket, the jacket tails are just surged edges, the hat is a smashed piece of foam, unwearable. Everything is extremely cheaply made and not quality work at all. It's not worth the money at all and def can't be used for kids playing dress up. It MIGHT hold up to one wearing IF they don't play. One star is one too many.

I bought this costume for my son's school report on Paul Revere. My son is 9 1/2 and slender and this youth medium fit perfectly, though the vest was a little short so I made sure to put a shirt underneath the vest so his stomach didn't show. I paired it with white knee socks and added the lantern. I would have given it a 5 (for looks) except for a button that was loose in the package so I had to sew that on and after washing I noticed another was loose. Also the hat is of no use, it is, as other reviewers have stated, all mashed up and really not useable so I picked up a pirate trifold hat at Party City. They should remove the hat and lower the price. Overall though, got great compliments on it, it looked fantastic and he was comfortable to wear it all day! Hoping it still fits for Halloween!

The pieces are simply made, but my son has worn it maybe 100 times. It is stained now, but he wears it all the time. Wish it could have come in larger sized. Son videotapes himself as a patriot during the American Revolution.
