We've purchased many Le Parfait Super Jars over the years (we own > 30 of them) because, until 2022, they were a great investment for storage. Unfortunately, however, we purchased four sets of three Le Parfait Super Jars in 2022 (500 mL, 750 mL, 2 L, and 3 L) and ~1/3 of those jars have failed in exactly the same way - the clasp is so tight that upon closure the glass chips just above it (please see the attached pic of 3 of them). Clearly, chipped glass is sharp, which is scary enough, but those shards can unknowingly get into food. Indeed, once I recognized this problem, I began checking all our Le Parfait Super Jars and, sure enough, I found that one containing a spice blend that I had made had glass shards in it. Once I recognized this problem I contacted Le Parfait, telling them how much my family and I have loved their products for many years and how many we own, and then described the problem, providing the attached photograph of the reproducible failure and how it happens in exactly the same spot due to exactly the same reason every time. I then asked for replacements because my family can't afford to throw money away at this point and these jars are expensive. I found Le Parfait's response reprehensible; to paraphrase, it was to wash their Super Jars by hand, not in a dishwasher. First, this failure occurred both before and after ever being washed in a dishwasher. Second, the description on Amazon says that these jars are dishwasher safe (check for yourself). At this point I was furious, so I sent a detailed and snarky response, to which Le Parfait replied that I should contact their USA distributor for compensation (all I wanted were replacements of the faulty jars for my family’s benefit and for this problem to be corrected for Le Parfait’s future customers). Thus, I informed Le Parfait’s USA distributor about this issue - not just once, but twice - and I never received a response. I possess screenshots of my second inquiry which confirms that my message was received (as was the first). All I’ve heard since my second inquiry, whose receipt was confirmed many months ago, has been crickets. I simply could not be more disappointed in Le Parfait and their USA distributor regarding this issue, particularly considering how loyal of a customer I once was. I strongly advise readers of this review to not purchase Le Parfait products anymore because much better, and cheaper, alternatives are readily available. Update: another Le Parfait Super Jar has failed. Not by chipping under the clasp this time, but by cracking in its body. Update (2/15/2024): yet another Le Parfait Super Jar has failed. Not by chipping under the clasp this time, but by cracking in its body. Please see the attached photograph.

These are so much easier to use than 2 quart widemouth canning jars because the mouth is even wider. Same size mouth as the Bormioli Rocco Fido Canning Jars, which are square-ish. They really have a nice appearance, the script words and orange gasket really give them a premium look. Sadly, they are fragile compared to the Bormioli Fido jars. We use one to make yogurt and they generally last 2-3 years before they bump something in the refrigerator and crack. The stainless hardware is a nice upgrade from galvanized.

I use these to store flour, sugar, etc. They are airtight and keep everything fresh. A five lb bag of flour will not fit in one 3L jar, so I also purchased a 2L jar for the rest.

These are great storage jars. I bought them to keep my dried peppers in. They are perfect. The quality of the product is outstanding. The rubber gasket is nice and thick for a good seal and the glass is very sturdy.

I purchased 3 of these and they are so well made. Love the flip-top lid. Courier seemed to have roughly handled box and thus the one in the center was broken. I contacted Le Parfait and they immediately shipped me a single replacement jar. I would love to switch out all my mason jars with Le Parfait.
