Third purchase - consistent quality, inconsistent weight
This is my third 5-gallon bucket from Desert Creek and I keep coming back for a reason. The honey tastes excellent - good complexity, not cloyingly sweet like cut honey, and the price per pound is unbeatable for raw, unfiltered stuff. The only inconsistency I've noticed: sometimes you get exactly 60lbs of honey (container tare not included), other times you get the full 63lbs including the bucket. This batch was spot-on at 63lbs total. Seems to depend on who's manning the scale that day, but the variance is minor enough that I'm still ordering. If you go through honey in volume, this is the move. Real product, fair price, no nonsense.

RAW HONEY for a FANTASTIC price
This Desert Creek raw honey is the real deal. It comes in a huge bucket, and every bit of it tastes bold, wild, and natural. Almost medicinal in the best way. You can tell it hasn’t been overly processed. The flavor has that earthy, floral depth that only comes from true raw, unfiltered honey. I mainly use it in my southern sweet tea, and it completely elevates it. Way better than sugar, smooth, rich, and just the right kind of sweet. Plus, raw honey has so many natural benefits. It helps soothe sore throats, supports the immune system, and can even aid with allergies if it’s local. It’s also antibacterial which is why I use it on cuts and wounds! Makes it heal WAY faster. You’re not just getting a sweetener, you’re getting something that actually does some good for your body. For the price and the amount you get, it’s ABSOLUTELY worth it! I’ll keep coming back to Desert Creek for more!

Delicious!
We love this honey! It’s thick and darker in color, and crystalizes a little by the time we get to the bottom (which I prefer:) My 6 yr old son salivates whenever I open the bucket because it smells so good!

Delicious and great customer service
We ordered this to use for our small business. We needed a large amount of quality honey by a certain date. Our item was delayed due to weather in the sellers area and the customer service person was very gracious in allowing us a refund but to keep the product once it arrived. First of all, they didn't have to do that but we are very appreciative. Second, it came after we needed it so we weren't able to use it for the project we had planned. However, we tried the honey and wow, just wow. It's a delicious product. And I'd venture to say the best honey I've ever tried. Once we find another project where we can use this item we absolutely will. Even though there was a delay and we didn't receive the item on time I marked 5 stars just because the product is such high quality and because they were so kind. We will absolutely order from this seller again.

Excellent customer service, above and beyond!
My wife wanted this particular honey because of all the rave reviews & it being Raw, unfiltered & non pasteurized. I ordered the honey with a shipping deadline to go to my freight forwarders. It missed my deadline by 3 days and i was bummed & contacted Desert Creek customer service for a refund. I got a promt very apologetic response from Tiffany, who informed me she is putting in for a refund right away. To her word i got the refund within 12 hours. I checked the tracking of the Honey & saw that it was delivered to my freight forwarders, to which i inquired if any possibility it can join my cargo to ship out. To my surprise the boat was delayed, so my freighters were able to join to my cargo. I was delighted & contacted Tiffany again to share the good news & to recharge my card the $240. And guess what Tiffany's response was?? She informed me that the refund was already processed and the Honey was a gift and apologized again for being late! This is above and beyond! This is not a jar of Honey, this is 5 gallons! I am shocked at the generosity and integrity of this company, with excellent customer service. They won me as a customer for life. I am waiting to get there address so I can send a gift i beleive Tiffany and the other staff will enjoy... I am still in shock! Update: I finally received the honey from my freight forwarders, all the reviews are correct it is excellent tasting, real honey. I am ordering another bucket.

Bitter, bad tasting honey
This honey is poor quality and very bitter. I wanted to have a good amount of honey on hand as an “emergency supply” since it keeps forever. I divided the honey into sterile glass jars with tight fitting seals and stored in a cool, dark room. I went to use the honey after about 6 months and the honey had darkened, solidified and was very bitter. It tastes more like a strong molasses than honey. Seller said too bad for you. Don’t buy from this seller.

Good value for bulk honey.
So for years I've been using Sue Bee in bulk. (The non-pasteurized crowd gasps in dismay.) But it tasted good and I had a source with a great price. When they stopped carrying it, I went shopping and tried a lot of brands. Several of the raw versions and a few pasteurized. Most of the pasteurized had almost no flavor, including a couple brands I tried on Amazon. I got raw versions here (including the gallon Desert Creek) and at stores like Costco. Prices were higher than I had been paying and, for the most part, didn't like them as much. Desert Creek was best. The flavor is pretty strong, though. When I saw the 5 gallon pail and the price, had to give it a try. Big cost saving. Since honey doesn't go bad and I use a lot of it, gave it a shot. The bucket works well. You pull out the spout and it seals nicely. Minimum cleanup after pouring. (But remember, it does weigh 60 pounds.) Edit - I now transfer it to a large pot and spoon it out. Edit. At first I was mixing this with a cheap honey for extra sweetness, but found I liked it better by itself. The Costco honey was from Argentina and I wasn't thrilled about potential additives there. Another note. There are always a lot of factors on how you feel physically. But I changed to unpasteurized honey when everything else in my diet was the same. I started feeling a little more energetic. Could be a combination of things, but I did notice an improvement. Again, price is great. Container is excellent. And I have enough honey for my tea-in-isolation to outlast the pandemic. Edit - I've moved it up to 5 stars.

Great, delicious, dark honey
The quality of the honey is great. It's fairly dark, and tastes great. This is my second purchase from these apiarists. Both times I transferred the honey from the 5 gal bucket into 1/2 gal Mason jars, vac sealed and stored in the dark. It will crystallize after a period of time, but warming the jar in hot water brings it back to the original consistency. My only complaint is that this time, either during shipping or prior to leaving their packaging plant, the lid to the 5 gal bucket was not fully on. The bucket was shipped wrapped in a plastic bag within a heavy cardboard packaging. However, even with all that, I lost 1/2 a gallon of honey which equates to $25 down the drain. Again, I can't say whether it was the apiarists or UPS who made the mistake, but I was short the honey and had quite a mess on my hands.
