Came as advertised just cost way too much to get programmed for the Volkswagen, which I already sold

The fobs arrived faster than promised but not a single locksmith in the entire North Carolina area would program them. I eventually ponied up the $$ and purchased one from VW and paid the programming fee, which was the same for 1 or more, so I asked them to program these. They didn't program plus they didn't have cut key inserts, which are only done by VIN number and only by Volkswagen. I returned them to the seller and was charged return shipping of 12.00 by UPS because I was sent a return shipping label that required ME to pay the return shipping fee on a PRIME shipped product. Nice. Do not but unless you can find a place that guarantees they can program the five for you as well as cut the insert keys, prior to your purchase.

The cost of programming will vary. Ask a few local locksmiths about the price, and make sure they can cut the high-density plastic for the emergency key (some won't be able to). I paid $150 for programming and cutting right in my own driveway. I still managed to save more than $100 from what the dealer would charge for the same services (plus they ship the key off for cutting which can take weeks).

Product is great, just can’t get anyone to program it for a reasonable price

I took the key fob to a locksmith recommended by Auto Key Max (the seller). He does VW key fobs very seldom so he had to look up some information but did fully program the key fob at a reasonable price.

I searched for my specific car and model. This product came up. Can't be programmed and I even brought it to a dealership to program. The plastic back up car door key can't be etched in America either. I literally can't use this product.

Great product but do not take to the car dealership to program!! They will charge you even if they can’t program the key fob;(Contact seller for local auto locksmith. Good customer service, even with my difficulties

not sure if it was the fob or locksmith. was told it was the wrong one for car. locksmith had one that looked same, same fcc number. but it worked. told him i would just return the one i ordered he said he would just trade mine for his so it worked out. took the guy over two hours ... after he said it would be fifteen minutes. I'm happy with the fob though.
