**Q: Can the voltage be calibrated?  Mine was accurate initially but now displays ~19v with a 12v line supply. The load side reads 12v with a multimeter.**
A: Same thing happened after 2 months to mine!!! I was wondering what happened. My solar panels produce about 36 volts, now it's displaying 50-60, throwing the wattage reading way off. If anyone knows how to calibrate it, let us know please.

**Q: How do you hook up this gauge with its tiny wires/connections when all of the cabling in a solar system is much heavier gauge? seems like a botleneck!**
A: All of the current ( AMPS)  go through the SHUNT ( rated at 20 AMPS ) the small wires that go to the display unit from the SHUNT are only supplying very low current / low voltage to the display unit that gives it the value of the current ( AMPS ) that are passing through the SHUNT. I have the 100 AMP SHUNT version of this unit and it works very well. Again, all the current and the voltage your measuring with this unit are derived at the SHUNT and it can handle a lot of current and will NOT restrict or bottleneck the current or the voltage you want to measure. Hope this helps.

**Q: What is "dc in" in the diagram on the back of the device? is it battery?**
A: This is the dc from the source that you want to monitor. It could be from a battery, power supply, solar cell, generator, etc.

**Q: The button for backlight looks recessed. Do you need something like a pen to push the button?**
A: Yes! And it is also used to set several parameters which is OK if your use is in a PERMANENT setup. In my case it is only a test meter, and it becomes a pain to just reset the Watt.Hr meter...  Also everytime it is powered up the backlight comes up flashing... Neat instrument otherwise..
