Does great when it is used as designed.
This saw is small and it is meant for miniature projects. I have seen reviews saying that someone wanted to use it to make shelves ... nope. Not meant for that use. I make wooden model ships. I wanted it to fabricate deck and hull planks .. perfect for a MODEL SHIP.. Someone else said they wanted to make doll houses. YUP! This saw is slightly bigger than your hand and works great for miniature projects. The saw comes with a carbide blade installed and you get a diamond tipped blade for cutting ceramic material and a third blade made for cutting fibrous material. The carbide blade is SHARP and breezes through the type of material that a modeler would need to cut. There are no safety features beyond a blade cover and an on/off switch, so this is probably not a good choice for a child. I find this to be a good value and it is easy to use. I'm in my 70s, so I long ago figured out not to touch a moving blade. This saw is just what I needed and I can quickly make accurate cuts with it.

OK for the price
Nice little saw , for the price, for cutting small pieces as long as you take it slow. Base appears to be cast iron. No mounting holes in the base to mount it to a work bench. Table is aluminum. It has no rip fence. I made a rip fence from a piece of aluminum angle and a couple of “C” clamps. I used my makeshift fence to rip oak flooring for a doll house from scrap oak flooring. Blade height adjustment is a little hit or miss. Blade to table angle is fixed. The saw table guide has no angle markings and the wing nut on the guide hits anything that you are cutting that is taller than the height of the guide. Replacement wood cutting blades are hard to almost impossible to find for this saw (I’m still looking). It has a 4” diameter blade with a 12mm blade arbor bore hole.

Perfect for Dollhouse Bashing
I’m building my first dollhouse and wanted to make a few adjustments to the plan, but I was hesitant to use our full sided saw on such little pieces. This little saw is perfect for the dollhouse pieces (siding, accent pieces, wall boards, etc.) I was nervous to buy it based on the reviews, but I am so happy I took a chance. It cuts very easily. It was incredibly precise. It’s quiet. As long as you don’t rush and take care using it, you won’t have problems with it bogging down. Worth the price. I’d buy it again.

Works for purpose, now
There was not enough table space to use the miter gauge for my purpose. But I found a rip fence (here) designed for a band saw and shortened it, see photo. Now it does exactly what I need. The blades for a discontinued tool, from a famous rotary tool maker, fit perfectly, also found here.

I want to modify my rating., it works again after I plugged in for a few hours
Used it to cut one of those thin self-adhesive plastic wall tiles. Very handy to work with, much easier to cut material than using hand held knives. However, it stopped running after 2 days! Had to buy another one to finish a small 20 lf kitchen counter backsplash. Very unreliable!

Stopped working
This saw worked well for about a month. Then it stopped turning on. It stopped working today, 6/27. The window to return it closed 6/26. FML I am in the middle of installing new floor in my bedroom. Now I have no working saw and a half done job. It was a good little saw for thin materials, small doesn’t take up much room. But if the power switch fails and doesn’t turn on, then who cares. Its cheap junk, drop more money and get a better tool.

Cuts jade and chalcedony
Could be used for water setup, good luck finding right container. However you can make one with plastic and hot glue. Also diamond blades with size arbor are difficult to find. I did find them on ebay though. Works fantastic. Chopped up jade and chalcedony. Only for thinner stones or slabs, can only do about 2 and a half inches. Cut down one side, flip it and cut the other connecting the cut lines.
