Works well for the designed purpose
Condos in Florida seem to have only single pane Windows. This works great for the condensation that’s prevalent in the winter.

It works!
They work! I have 50 year old windows in my bedroom and when we occasionally get heavy downpours with gusty winds the rain floods my window sill and the towels I put in place are soaked in minutes...and overflow the sill. Just this week we had a major wind (40mph) and rain storm. These absorbed all the water and there was NO OVERFLOW. I actually wondered if the rain had come in and I picked one of these up and the underside is completely wet!

These work very well but...
These work very well - I have a few windows that leak when the wind blows wrong - and they keep the sill dry without being a sopping wet mess. However, I tried to place them on the floor near our sliding doors, which have the same problem (we are coastal) and the black fleece fabric really attracts dust and pet hair. They ended up looking really nasty and I don't know how to get them clean. Can't wash them or they'll suck up the water, and vacuuming was less than effective. So to sum up: they WORK at what they are supposed to do - absorb water. But you can't leave them in place very long or they end up looking worse than a wet towel. :( Change the fabric and these would get 5 stars!

It really works
I was skeptical when we first got this for a garage side door where the water comes in. This thing really does stop the water from coming in and absorbs the water. It's a great item to put in front of the door jam so that water will not leak through. Highly recommend it I'm a believer now.

It was very effective and soaked up a lot of water and did not let it leak to the other side of the sock!
