Yes it does. My son uses it to transport it to and from school

I bought it for the TI-30xa/TI30 IIs2 and it has a little extra room on all sides nice case

Will the new black version fit well in this?

Not sure, I can say I have never really used mine. It was hard and bulky so it’s been in a drawer since I purchased :(
