Bluetooth Speaker with High-End Tweeters by Morel

Bought this two years ago during a Black Friday sale. Fantastic near-field sound. Not bad outdoors either at the pool. Great dynamics for Black Sabbath and classic rock and anything where you want to feel the kick drum. Good detail too. Replaced some Wharfedale 12..2s and a receiver which cost almost 2X as much. Sound much better.

Unfortunately, this product emits a very loud hiss when playing music.

It has a great power, and it sounds very good.

Wanted to love these speakers, they sound really great when they work properly. But they have frequent issues in the paired mode, getting out of sync or having one speaker's audio drop off intermittently. Tested using Apple Music from an iPhone 14 Pro and a 2019 Macbook Pro, both up to date. Unfortunately they have not responded to any support requests from their website. May be stuck with a pair of duds. If they reach out or I find a resolution, I'll update the review accordingly.

This is a nice sounding speaker for low volume classical and movie soundtracks, but the sound is nothing mind-blowing. The Morel delivers full boomy bass at low volume so you don't have to crank it, but for louder rock the sound gets muzzled and sounds trapped in the box. Since the Ikea version (Eneby 30) is almost as good for $89, this Morel is way overpriced. Should be $119-ish.
