Warning: think twice before you buy this tuna if you're used to cheaper grocery store brands. Once you eat this tuna, you'll never go back. Yes, it's more expensive, but it's in a completely different category of canned fish. It's velvety and delicious, and this is a very good price for it I gave away some cans last Christmas in gift bags and I made a slew of new Ortiz converts. My order came super fast and I had no issues whatsoever. I'll definitely be buying again.

I did a search for the best tuna and compared many different brands because the store bought ones I was buying were never that great. I recently started fasting and I need to break my fast with a good protein and also one that will help replenish protein so I can build muscle on days that I'm not fasting so I needed to always have this on hand too. I landed on Ortiz for all the great reviews and the fact that they shipped out boxes of it. I've been ordering the 12 pack each time and it always arrives quickly and in perfect condition. The tuna is perfect. The taste is fantastic. I can understand why it was ranked as one of the best. It's packed in oil which is pleasant and enhances the flavor. The only negative I can think of is that sometimes the tab breaks off the flip top and you have to get out the can opener, but that's not a big deal at all. The quality of the product is exceptional.

Best canned tuna ever.

Yeah, I pay more for this compared to other brands. But, with the extra expense I can make scrumptious salads. When I mix up a batch and share, the response is "WOW! This is the best tuna I have ever had". Recently, I have been preparing a batch for Tuna Melts...whole wheat bread, sharp cheddar and a dollop of the tuna salad, grilled with butter to a golden brown One problem, when I make a batch (with minimal ingredients), it won't stay long in the fridge (because my wife scoops it up too and nothing left for me). I normally do not do subscribed purchases but in this case I have the 12 pack delivered every month.

I was turned on to Ortiz tuna by a friend who is also a chef. It is more expensive than the usual store-bought tuna, but it is oh so much better. I also appreciate that it is much healthier to eat, and is a more sustainable harvesting method. Just be careful....once you try this tuna you'll never go back to store-bought stuff again!

Ortiz is hands down my favorite tuna. It blows away most other canned tuna. Unlike the mush that is (most) canned tuna, Ortiz tuna are large chunks of tuna preserved simply in olive oil. The tuna is buttery and the flesh is firm, yet flaky. Quality doesn’t come cheap, but this is the best price of I’ve seen anywhere. At this price, grab a pack and put a green bean tuna salad into your weekly meal rotation!

Only this tuna in my house. Love it! Worth every penny. You can also buy in a jar.

I am very familiar with this brand of tuna, which is imported from Spain, and think it is one of the best on the market. It is delicious, of high quality, fresh and well packaged. Easy to open, ready to enjoy, and packed in high quality olive oil. I highly recommend this product, particularly at this price point, which is superior to what you would pay in a specialty supermarket.
